I was interested when the commercials started running last week. But I don't know if i'll enjoy the reality T.V. aspect of the show...

i'm not sure how good it will be because i'm sure the "survivors" can't use force or traps that could cause harm.

You know what? It kinda reminds me of Fallout.

Sounds similar to a British tv show called 'Survivors'. IT was a drama originaly made in the 70's where a viral outbreak sweeps the world and 99.9% of the worlds population is killed, leaving a handful of survivors to eventualy find eachother and try and survive with whatever they have left. It ran for 3 series, and the great thing about it was by the start of the second series it could virtualy be set in any time, because by that point there's no electricity, no food other than what they grow/kill/trade, very few working cars with petrol, limited firearms with precious limited ammunition, etc etc. Damn good series, worth checking out.

There's been a recent BBC remake of it, which sadly is nowhere near as good as the original.

And I have to agree the 'reality TV' show angle on it really is tacky. American TV shows always have a way of taking an interesting concept and making it vacuous.

Everything sounds good, except for the reality TV aspect.

American TV doesnt even know how to make TV at all anymore unless it has the drama of two hillbillys fighting about some stupid bullshit.
