Custom Map Alternative Downloading

If any of you (like me) have problems downloading maps from L4D Maps I have taken the liberty to upload custom maps to my MediaFire account. The maps I currently have are .vpk files and are divided into zip files. These are not all of the maps available but its a good start to those who need it fast from 1 place.

***I am only providing public released maps in an alternative way because the websites they are hosted on do not have stable bandwidth. Please do not take this the wrong way. This is for people who want to download maps but do not know where to start. This is my way of contributing to the community.

About 90% of these are good and fun to play, there are a couple boring ones but thats about it. However, thats just my opinion. Its all about a person's taste. Some people love it, some people hate it. The only way is to try them out for yourself because everybody won't have the same likes or dislikes you do.

Are you sure that the server doesnt have version 6.0? That might cause the problem, both you and the server have to have the same version.

The problem with Death Aboard is that the author or person who made the .vpk file incremented the version number with a decimal - You are NOT supposed to do this. Its reading 6.1 as 6 which is causing the string table error. Bit unfortunate, but if you know where the author's main hangout is you should tell him asap :p
