alright, so this is either an actual easter egg, or a use of noclip. I personally think it's the second, but it is postworthy.

Sorry to say, but the instructions given in this video are a blatant lie (as is the cake). ;) Both areas ("cake/robo-cores" and "outside the facility") can indeed be accessed by noclip. They are beneath and next to the actual boss fight. I've done it myself after somebody pointed this out on the Steam forums. :P

Besides, you could use the console to spawn a Weighted Companion Cube (and probably a cake) anywhere, anyways.

/edit: Btw, you should see the room with the cake for yourself. Taken out of context, it's one of the most eerie places I've seen in a FPS for a while. ;)

If it was an intended easter egg, they would have some collision on the shelves and cake. Plus for it to work the dev's would have needed to do something special at that door when making the map; like a trigger somewhere which made a portal under the companion cube in the cake room (yep, thats where he got his cube) when a portal hit it. They didn't.

but we've universally agreed that it wouldn't work and he was perpetrating a hoax with noclip, you can't turn noclip on on consoles. Follow this train of logic to the obvious conclusion.

just because you CAN reach it with noclip, which is the more simple way, doesn't mean you can't just do it by following what the vid said 2 do....

hmmm, i just watched it again....unless ur saying that when the screen goes white from destroying gladose he just cuts to a different clip of him allready in that place....yeah then it's only on a pc if that's the case. :)
