Its alive!!! Zombie Panic Source isnt dead!!
The ZP:S mod team has posted a huge pile of cool new stuff, including screenshots of fantastic looking maps, models, weapons and a very cool soundfile you can listen to imidiately.
Make sure to take a look at the large arsenal of close combat / melee weapons!!!

Even though we all learned to not listen to any approximate release dates, the modteam had this to say:
"I hate (HATE) to announce dates because as a modder I know the moment you announce a date, insidious beings hurl large boulders at my window in the middle of the night to annoy me! That being said... Look forward to a 2007 Release :D (Do not ask me to go into more detail)."

I dont know how you feel, but I rejoiced on those news since I like this mod. :D

Nice! I like the Ving Rhames-ish survivor model, and the maps are hot.

the sound clip sounds almost like L4D, by that I mean having character voices like that.

It is dead, I keep in contact with Tatsur0 regularly, they only have three members left, none of them program and he is giving up on finding a programmer after searching for so long, he might pass this mod onto someone else or just ditch it.

It's quite disappointed, frankly I have more hope in No more room in hell and Viral Outbreak, they're are probably the only one's with reasonable progress.

Well I talk to some of them, they are active it's just they didn't have a coder, so they got set back a bunch and couldn't progress whatsoever, things have changed now hopefully and it might come out, but it's inevitable that it will be pwned by Left 4 Dead :)

Heh, well I knew that it can't hold a candle to L4D, but I thought it was dead completely.

Do you think they'll release their maps for L4D use?

Me and Darth Brush keep in regular contact, he's been thinking about putting maps into Left 4 Dead and Zombie Mod, but he said he'd rather remake ones for them then use ones from No More Room in Hell.
