This is for Hayao Miyazaki fans, his newest film called Ponyo in the states and a limited release is coming up on the 14th.

Its somewhat inspired by the Little Mermaid, as the film is "an animated adventure centered on a 5-year-old boy and his relationship with a goldfish princess who longs to become human."

Liam Neeson, Noah Cyrus, Cloris Leachman, Matt Damon, Frankie Jonas, Lily Tomlin, Tina Fey are part of the English dub cast.

So who's excited? I guess by extension this could be a Miyazaki thread, since I have no idea who here is a Miyazaki fan or not.

Also, To clear up some confusion, Disney is just about as involved in this film as EA was with Left 4 Dead. They just do an English dub and distribute it in the States. And I've never heard a Disney dub on a Studio Ghibli film, so if anyone knows if they do a good job or not let me know.

Lily Tomlin, and Tina Fey are both highly regarded comedians and Liam Neeson is just an awesome actor (if you played fallout 3 you'd recognize his voice, he played your dad), Don't know who Cloris Leachman is, but the last two are "Disney Kids"

Lol, yeah. Miyazaki films are similar to Pixar in that they are meant for kids, but a lot of adults love them as well

And to those who have never seen a Miyazaki film Spirited Away (considered one of his best) is one youtube, but it is pretty long

I've only liked Liam Neeson mostly from Schindler's List, and he was okay in Taken...

All i remember from Spirited Away was that my 6 year old brother cried at the end when she got her parents back.

Miyazaki.

Awesome movies, I think I've seen them all. They're kinda slow, but very trippy.

I saw Castle in the Sky which was pretty good, so I'll probably like this one.

6 year old brother eh?
Sure it wasn't someone ELSE who cried?

I haven't seen Howl's Moving Castle or The Castle in the Sky yet. And I've technically seen Princess Monoke its been so long I only remember them cutting the demons head off and putting it in a box.

But I haven't seen one in theaters ever so I hope it comes out near me

I wasn't particularly interested in that movie, it was just another kidnap, Die Hard kinda thing.

Actually... it was another Live Free or Die Hard, except with prostitutes, not killing America.\

Don't get me wrong, I still liked the movie, just wasn't innovative or anything. Just something else.
