I've just thought of a great map for l4d

Hiya guys.

I've just had probably one of the best ideas i've thought of that would be amazing for l4d. I'm sure some of you have been keepign yourselfs sane from the l4d release date by watching zombie flicks. Am i right? Well, everyone remembers Dawn of the dead ya? Remember the end credits when they get to that island? oh ho i bet some of you have clicked with what my idea is now right? xD

Yup thats right, i thought, it would be god damn ****ing amazing if what i did was create a map for l4d in which the 4 survivors are on that same boat, and as it floats in, you gear up, all quiet and spooky, the dog runs off (if it can be programed xD) and then BOOM! Those same zombies/infected come charging at you just like in the film!!! and you must tear your way through them all and get to the end of that hell island.

I thought this would be ROCK as then you could actually feel like your playing through a bit of the movie you never could has seen in the cinema (even if its a fan ending, who cares if it rocks and you get to play it yourself!!). I don't have any experiance at all making maps or stuff like this, but damn i'm really thinking of learning and giving it one hell of a go just to make something as epic as this to be created!

well obviously i'm not gonna make it shakey handcam so ur just shakign the whole time like that xD i mean that you would just playthrough the level as normal l4d fps style (no shakecame xD) and it would come to some conclusion at the end.

well, what about an aircraft carrier for the final battle thing? like, all the crew are zombies and you have to get to the top, and then to the other end running along the top of it, the mounted gun could be in the control tower or something, and you have to make it to a helicopter on the carrier...

and as for why you are on the island in the first place, well maybe you were on a boat, like a cruise liner or something, and you got in a life raft right be4 it explodes or becomes over run by zombies...

maybe you travel to get fuel for you boat, there are 4 hot spots on the island with lorrys and one player sucks from a tube to get it while the other 3 defend, when you have enough fuel you go back to the boat and astalavista

whenever i think of a zombie island, i'm always reminded of Fulci's 'Zombie(2)' (aka dawnofthedead 2)(1979)
loved that end part where the survivors get to the village and hold off the zombos from inside the church with molotovs and shotguns
dunno if there is appropriate textures/foliage models to pull off a tropical forest tho
