What are your opinions of nukes? I think they should be non existent because of obvious reasons. They cause mass destruction and end/ruin the lives of millions of people. Not to mention future generations get terrible birth defects because of the radiation. Radiation poisoning is a terrible way to die and nobody deserves to be put through it. Hiroshima and Nagasaki need to stay the only places that ever get nuked.

Well, to be fair Countries have to make them. If they dont have them then whats to stop another country nuking them. It's basicaly "You nuke me I'll nuke you."

But countries shouldn't have mindsets like that....but because countries continue to stockpile nuclear weapons is the only reason why countries have this set mindset in their minds....

if we never would of nuked japan, we would of lost MILLIONS of American lives in the invasion plans that were set in place, and where we nuked not that many people died/live there, we did more dammage with fire bombs on toyko, so thank you very much but nukes are what is keeping most countries out of war, if we invaded russia we would get nuked and visa versa. so with out nukes we would be in a bad place. but hey that is just my opnion, ive taken to many clases on war and war time poltics.

It's not a matter of keeping enemies at bay...when other countries see that another country is willing to destroy their weapons and show that they will not waist their energies to build these weapons you lose the need for them and other more important issues come up....i.e keeping the country's infastructure in tact and well managed....

Not only that...but just focus more on the people. Less starvation because of weapons...and more food for the hungry. Less genocide because of struggle for power...more job opportunities and business growth to employ the people...more focus on education so the country can prosper because of it's own smarts and hardwork....not have to get by with lack-luster/mediocre teaching and education...

Yes....i will agree...with you. It is within human nature to quarrel and fight with one another. Since the dawn of time man has done nothing but fight and wage war with one another. But there are few countries who do focus on the better of the country..and worry less about warfare and problems of the larger more imposing countries and are able to better take care of themselves.

So no...nuclear weapons shall never cease to exist...and eventually more powerful weapons of destruction shall emerge and we as humans will be sent by older, supposedly more wiser men to "fight" for a good cause. When in fact, and this is a true saying if you have never heard of one...

I played Civilization Revolution one day (crappy game, never liked those sort of games) , and realised one thing: There are always going to be wars untill one nation or atleast continent controls the world. Think about it. It's impossible to (when we reach this state in technology) run space programs and colonising other Planets under the leads of seperate nations.

I find that unless every nation or atleast continent joins ie Europe and America and Asia, and the whole world is lead by a single group who think about the whole world with their thoughts not just whats best for their country, there will always be wars and dispute, thus nukes too.

The Japanese forces were willing to fight to the death on their own soil. They were preparing their people, young and old to fight to their last breath against American forces....

Global Warming is an ever present danger in today's world. It needs everyone to work together to stop it. But, we won't. We will just sit on our respective asses until it is too late. Then, when it is too late to try and prevent it from happening, people get retarded ass ideas like moving the Earth farther away from the Sun because we couldn't come together, work together, and atleast try to stop it.
