Tru dat. I remember having Yellow version and catching a Ditto in that Verulean Forest or what ever the hell it's called. It made me go WTF since I could never ever catch that pokemon again in that area. But that was like 10+ years ago :/

It is event-only from the newer pokemons, meaning I will never get it. Reminds me of my favorite hero from DotA though, so hes ok in my book.

The original were neat, and I liked the second gen too, because they were the first add ons, but then it got ridiculous.

I like Evee and it's first and second gen evolutions. just because espeon and umbreon were so badass in looks and skill. But the leaf and ice type evee evolution look terrible imo.

I remember the good ol' Pokemon days. I was one of the first kids in Australia to own Pokemon cards, got them before the series even started playing here. Then I got a fucking epic collection going with my brothers. We watched the series (ORIGINAL) every morning, fucking epic. Then came the Gameboy games, still have a vivid memory of me playing it on my old GB Pocket on my driveway for hours on end.

The first and maybe second gen were cool, but then the developers got aids and passed it on to the new pokemons.

heh I had a fit of nostalgia about a year ago and decided to torrent a good chunk of the original TV series. I think I got about 3 seasons done and realized they were taking up a ton of space on my hard drive. I might have to finish that someday, at least until the end of the Orange Islands. I can't recall when I stopped watching it as a kid though.

I still fire up my GBA emulator to play Fire Red. I really wish they'd make another remake/expansion like that using the Diamond/Pearl graphics engine.

Yeah, you didn't expect that did you? Gun nuts have childhoods too, you know. Oh and while I'm at it, did you know that only one episode of the TV series ever had a gun appear in it? It was cut for the US release, too. (the Safari Zone episode)

Games died around the Sapphire and Ruby versions, due to the fact that most of the games that came out after that were just different pokemon and a new place to do your pokemoning.

The show died right around when misty left and that girl joined.

The movies ended after like the 2nd movie. There are like 12 movies :O

I dunno, I didn't mind Gold and Silver too much but then they started that "third game" thing where they make a middle-ground special edition a year later.

If you mean the movies then yeah, the 3rd movie was blah and the 4th had an interesting premise but awful CGI effects and the main villain guy looked like a total fool. Haven't seen the movies after 4, but doesn't sound like I'm missing much.

I remember I actually bought the soundtracks for the first 2 movies when I was a kid. I still enjoy the orchestral soundtrack but the licensed songs...not so much anymore.

Same thing here, no new Pokemon will ever beat playing Pokemon Blue for hours on end on my Gameboy Pocket. Even nowadays I would play Conker's Bad Fur Day or Donkey Kong 64 over Left 4 Dead or Crysis. If only I still had them though...
