The Fall Games, and Holidays

Is it just annoying that most good games come out around the holidays or late fall? Because of this, you can't get all the good games that come out. I mean look at what we got last year.

L4D
Call of Duty World at War
Resistance 2
World of Warcraft wrath of lich king
Fable 2

And that is not as bad as what we have for this years holiday season.

Modern Warfare 2
Left 4 Dead 2
Uncharted 2
Mass Effect 2
Lost Planet 2 (notice all the 2s)
Halo 3 ODST (which is gona be flipping AMAZING!)
Borderlands

Personally, I don't think my budget can fit 8 Games in one holiday season. Personally, I think people would be more inclined if you released a game in the spring or summer time because, the amount of competition will be low, and when people are looking for new games to play, they'll choose this one because it is the only good one for the time :)

And all this Bioware love makes me want to find an old copy of Jade Empire (my fav bioware game to date)

But borderlands is at my number one spot also, then forza 3, then left 4 dead 2.
those are the games im MOST DEF going to buy, like its guaranteed that I will have them, unless I die or go to jail or something.

Perhaps but it does make sense for them to release games around that time, because 1. it is holiday season and 2. it is coming into winter where casual gamers will play games more often.

I know I play more video games in the winter, I don't like playing games in the summer, it gets much too hot here.

But now Bioshock has been delayed and MW2 has had the price increase, so the three will probably change to L4D2, Lost Planet 2 and either Borderlands or Dragon Age. Well, if they raise the price here what makes you think they won't do it there? Or that they won't raise the price of games for the 360 if they do it to the PC? Even as such, the PC games probably cost less for at least 2 reasons (that I can think of): 1) A PC that can run most games costs a lot more to purchase, but a console costs more to make and sells for less, the console makers have to recoup losses; and 2) Developers have to pay royalties to the console makers where as PC is open ended.

I'm betting in the US Battlefield 2 is sitting in the $5 bin. Here it's still $70 in many stores.

So Assassin's Creed 2 seems to be $130 on PC. That's for the standard edition. Black version is $140, White is $150. This is fucking ridiculous, it's not like games have had a huge inrease in quality, what is there possibly to warrant such a huge increase?
