View Full Version : Holy Epic Day! Wolfenstein, Dust 514, and PS3 Slim

WOW! Yesterday, I learned that Wolfenstein comes out today, I'm definitely going to go buy it after work today.

This morning I see that Sony is going to cut their PS3 down to $300 (http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10311770-1.html?part=rss&subj=news&tag=2547-1_3-0-5) which is cool, just to have a nice Blu-ray player and my roommate wants to play MGS and I have a few friends who have a PS3. But THEN!!! I check the EVE Online site (that is most likely what I'm playing when not in TF2) and BAM!! CCP is coming out with another game! Dust 514, and it's based in the EVE Universe which is even more awesome. It's a MMO/FPS, which I'm not really fond of, but if anyone can pull it off, they can. This would give me an even MORE reason to buy a PS3.

Pretty epic day. Just started work though so 6.5 more hours until I can get Wolfenstein. Maybe I'll go to the Best Buy across the street during lunch and buy it.

Anyone else excited?

Fuck, you are right. Wolfenstein comes out tomorrow here. Damn straight I am excited, I have been looking forward to this for a while now.

This is damn awesome.

Whats so great about Wolfenstein? I'm itching to get a new game (but I keep having to buy baby things, bloody expensive!) Sell it to me!

Dust 514...Now you get to do spread sheets before you fire your weapon. Ah, but don't forget the 50,000 drop down menus. I don't trust those CCP guys.

I just love it. I have been a big Wolfenstein fan since the first one was released in the early 90's.

It's just ok so far. The graphics are fantastic of course, but the gameplay is lacking I think. I completed the first mission and it said I was 7% completed, second mission and I was 17% completed. I have a feeling this will be a short game.

Also, while the graphics look great, for the most part you will be in the Veil for most of the game. This makes everything look greenish which takes away from the pretty stuff. It seems after each mission you go back to this one town where you can walk around (NOT safely mind you, there are Nazi's around) and buy upgraded weapons and shit.

It's funny, but with this veil shit, it makes me feel like i'm playing a Jedi Academy game. :)

Haven't tried MP yet.

Yeah I read a review and it said that the single player gameplay lasts for about 8-10 hours. I reckon I might go buy it tomorrow, hopefully it isn't too expensive.

You say there are missions, so is it different to the last Wolfenstein, complete levels, do the next. Repeat, or do you have choice about what missions you do. I might just have to wait until I buy it.

Should be good!
