Now i have been searching, this site and many others looking for something.
Is there any statement from TRS about offline co-op.
If so Please post a link,
If not please let me know. this has been bugging me about this game.
It's problably not been discussed, and online is great believe me.
i just need ofline split screen.
If anybody knows it you guys.
If there is offline splitscreen this is my dream game.

not many PC games hav splitscreen multiplayer, I think link30020 is probly referring to the console release. In that case, it's very likely that a 360 version would hav offline splitscreen multiplayer, considering it is the norm for consoles and the current trend for co-op games

Knowing the 360, alot of the new games can't do this anymore because it has the render the game twice, this is the reason why every game isn't offline co-op, and I'm almost sure they already said when people asked for Ep2 on 360 to be co-op Valve said it isn't possible, they're pushing it enough by running the game on full on the 360, so most likely a no, games do do this, alot of them do but you have to render the game twice at the same time to do co-op and it isn't possible to run source and full and do this, and I know TRS won't tone down the game just for that reason.

There has to be off-line co-op..

Some times me and my brother play RE:Cold Blood on lan with our two computers

I don't see how or why they wouldn't put off-line co-op.

There won't be, unless they dumb down the graphics a crapload, they already are going to be running dynamic shadows most likely, but Valve said they can't run splitscreen on consoles without turning alot of things down, a main one being particle effects, plus on split screen they said they would have to shorten maps and such so more load times, which means TRS would have to make more checkpoints, which is unlikely to many reasons (easier, unfair for infected, etc.).

Highly doubt it, I'm pretty sure they can put split screen, but they just might not WANT to do it

Not the place for a console vs pc war.

Link, I don't believe we've been given any word on this yet, the developers have been pretty tight lipped about the Xbox version.

Well I'm talking about when Valve talked about it, since this is the source engine :P, anyways everyone bugged them about making HL2, Ep1 or Ep2 to be co-op on the 360 but valve said they couldn't do it or they would have to tone it down and rebuild the maps shorter, so it's not possible.

Yes, I saw what you said. I haven't seen this and while I expect that you're right, without TRS specifically saying yay or nay, I don't want to go ahead and give a definite answer.

I know basic, but console vs pc and console vs console flame fests seem to be cropping up in a lot of different topics and I'm trying to prevent them.

I'm pretty sure TRS won't dumb down the graphics, especially since Left 4 Dead doesn't even have Dynamic Shadows (or does it, I'm almost sure it doesn't), I could be wrong but unless they redo and re optimize stuff alot they could get it working like that,

I know you guys are all talking about the graphics issue or whatever, but thinking about it HOW COULD YOU NOT HAVE SPLIT SCREEN FOR THIS GAME!!! if any game would have split-screen multiplayer, this is it.

if any game would have split-screen multiplayer, ((on 360)) this is it.
You'd think so. But there's technichal limitations I guess. QuickNick was pretty convincing.
It kinda sucks if true, because I (not a console owner) think that offline multiplayer is the best part of consoles,... ever since Double Dragon NES.

Ok, i'm confused!

Are we talking about split screen co-op or 2 or more computers co-op or XBox 360 co-op????

Tarron

they could implement it using 2 360's...... but with xbox live why bother putting the development time in

Because some people dont have Xbox live and would love to play with their friends and all.

Split Screen is possible without numbin down the graphice, on this game at least. Or so it seems to me.

No they can't, when you play a game in split screen it's equivalent to literately rendering the whole game TWICE in real time, it's the same as running two HL2s on your computer, can't REALLY be done on most comps without dumbing down graphics, Valve said no, TRS will mostly likely to.
