The Boomer = Assist/Support Type (Attracting hordes with vomit. Vomiting/Exploding on survivors allowing Blinding for a limited time also allowing to slow down survivors who try to speed run)
The Hunter = Attack Type (Pouncing leaves survivors vulnerable to use any weapons such as Guns or Grenades)
The Smoker = Support Type (Dragging Survivors with it's Tongue to attack. Which adds up to slowing down/separating and most likely injure the Survivors.)
The Tank = Boss/Power/Environmental/Rush Type (The Tank was designed to thrash and pummel survivors with it's godly hands and to smash certain objects such as Cars/Dumpsters etc....) to finish the survivors. His second attack is not a melee but can throw Rocks to stun survivors for a quick second allowing The Tank to smash with his hands which damage much more quicker/stronger than the Rock Throw.
The Witch = Boss/Strategy Type (The whole point of the Witch is not to STARTLE her. Doing so can cause some severe consequences. It is best to plan strategies in order for you to NOT startle her by walking past her. As you may know she can incapacitate you in one shot and killing you single handedly on Expert. So she deserves the Strategy Type in this one. Let me know if you can think of some other Types for her
The Charger: Rush/Attack/Power/Split/Speed Type (As you may know The Charger is rumored to have 1/4 of The Tank's Health. His main purpose is to Split the Survivors by charging at them then attacking them when there vulnerable by smashing them repeatedly to the ground if not helped within time. And the best part is that he has 3x more speed than Common Infected.
The Spitter: Support/Split Type (The Spitter is designed to slow down and split survivors who camp. By throwing her Acid to burn and slowly drain a Survivors lifebar. She is also designed to Support other SI's by gettin to them quicker due to the slow down effect of the Acid.
If anybody wants to expand this then let me know. And another thing. What other Types of infected would you like to see in this game? Feel free to do your own types of infected

Not to be an ass or anything but...there are a lot of threads similar to this...
OT:Trap types would be kinda interesting. Like ones where you could only use an ability like once or twice and be completely vulnerable until someone sets off the trap thus giving you your abilities back.

These threads always seem to pop up right before an event where info will be realeased.

Assuming the Jockey becomes a reality at PAX, then really I'm just curious what this so called "Spitter-based" infected they had planned is. Might be some other kind of projectile SI but personally I liked the sound of the Spiker.
It would fill the gap that the Boomer left when it got transformed - that is an infected that just steps in and causes considerable one-time damage leaving little time for survivors to react against it. It would be useful to counteract the expert teams who rush past everything, gives the infected a chance to at least put a dent in their health.
A way to balance it I thought is give it a delayed attack, like when you press the attack to release the spikes everywhere it takes two seconds to actually "detonate", so if you shoot it to death before it fires off then everyone is safe. Also not sure if it would make sense to regenerate the ability so maybe it could just die even if it sets it off.

Or maybe a Spitter class that dramatically reduces all movement for your team.

It would deffinately have to have a fairly small range. Probably Exploding boomer range.
I was thinking of a different thing in regards to the spiker. If his primary attack was to have the spikes ( Bones or w/e) out for 10 secs. If he is killed during those 10 seconds, the spikes fly everywhere and hurt everyone, but if not, the spikes go back in his body and he can be easily killed.
would really make survivors watch out where they shoot.

The Snotter? lol

While I'm not keen on the Snotter name, the idea of one spreading ridiculous snot to reduce movement actually seems cool to me. Very grotesque so it would vie with the Boomer for nastiest ability. Maybe like the Dredger, or the Wheezer... without black horn rimmed glasses and a guitar.

Lol. The Snotter.
I couldn't imagine the creepy things such a beastly infected would do

Completely off topic, had a sort of idea with the old survivors. Now it's too late to add something this insane to L4D 2 but maybe some kind of future update or the far, far away sequel.
Taking the concept of a survivor becoming infected, what if they had a new "event" type infected (like a Tank or Witch) but instead it would randomly and rarely have the old survivors show up in an infected form? I imagine a really epic music score starting up and then all of a sudden you're under siege by twisted versions of the original four.
For instance, Zoey becomes a lovlier version of the long lost Screamer, Louis is some kind of twitchy fast moving creature from the pills (like the ones in Dead Space), Francis has partial Tank syndrome in his arms, maybe beefed up health and Bill has spikes poking out of his back and abdomen ala Spiker. Of course this would have to either be campaign only or a situation that disables all the other SI until it's over. Still it would feel like ultimate revenge for the original cast to be able to pummel the new guys.
Idea came from that map they added on the Survival Mode, the Last Stand. It seems like an inescapable situation where they must either kill everything or die, but becoming infected is the third option.
I'd like a Harrassment-type infected, one that could attack and escape really fast, kind of like a super-fast hunter that didn't pounce. It would be a hoot to play. Wouldn't add too much to gameplay though.
one of them

An Infected Gorilla. So then "Guerrilla Warfare" would make sense in a funny way.

I would like to see a "creeper" infected.
Think.... massive elongated arms, like an orangutan thats been streched on a rack for 6 weeks. That can hang from cealings/between walls in alleyways and can reach down and "hook" survivoirs up into the air and munch on them. An abilty to climb walls ect would be cool as well. Its "claw" attack could have a long range due to arm length.
So essentailly an ambush SI.
Or i would like to see another boss type infected. A boss hunter type, that can grab people THEN pounce with them. So leaps in, grabs somone then with them under one arm leaps off again, essentally an "abductor" type infected, similar to a jockey but much faster and with a long-distence learp ability.

Hell, I got to thinking about an SI with the same ability as the Snotter joke.
The Zit.
Imagine a infected with large fluid-filled boils all over his body. THe Idea is that He'll release the puss or whatever you want to call it for 10 seconds after clocking his right trigger attack. where ever he moves, that's where the fluid falls.
THe fluid would act as a type of glue, slowly drying around a survivor if he walks into it, making him progressively slower the more he walks into it to the point of 1hp speed.
When The Zit is popped, it also released a puddle of the fluid.
I might accually work on this idea more later and put it in the Infected Ideas threads. But there you go,
Gross? Check
SI? Check
Specific Roll to Play? Check
