I can't begin to describe what I just saw.....blood....survivors.....crazy monsters......dimensions.......in case some of u don't know, the mist was written by Stephan King (just read it a week ago) and has nothing to do with the fog, which was a horrible movie....there are some little meh parts,THE action scenes are sweet, BUT ENDING WILL BLOW YOUR MIND, maybe the craziest one i've ever seen, I was thinking "wait did that really just happen" something u've never seen b4 in a movie.....and there's so many unique characters.....

- oh and a little side note I really liked in this movie, besides towards the end, there is no music, even in the monster/action sequences, which I really liked, maked it more realistic and eerie. u can hear silence and little background noises. and there is some humor.....
-I clapped twice druing it, if you've seen the movie you can probably guess when :)....I was sooooo happy at that point in time.

Awesome! I have high hopes for this. King took the basic premise of The Fog and actually made it tolerable ... at least, I hope so. ;)

I hate Stephen King. The Stand and The Gunslinger are the only things I liked from him. Havent you seen and read IT. It turns into a spider, come on.

Stephen kings books are great. Almost all of them that get turned into films are ruined. IT was just one of many. If you read the book, it wasn't a spider!

What!? I swear to god my version was changed then. I read it when I was a kid and he turned into a spider!

The Gunslinger

Omg awesome.

"The man in black ran across the desert, and the gunslinger followed." (or something like that) is one of the most epic lines ever.

I have to say though, it dragged on forever, not that any book was less of a pleasure to read. The ending was frustrating though... as it wasnt really an end.

It was a good movie.

I wouldn't have done what the protagonist did at the end, but at least this movie broke the mold.

All in all, I think it was pretty good.

That was freaky... I just saw it... insane!
I was shaking for 30 min after... (until 5 minutes ago that is)

No music, ambient noise, and a million other things make it so realistic!

It reminds me of silent hill 1 that I played through earlier this year. Mist, weird creatures, and sirens when evil silent hill appears...

*SPOILER BELOW*
I hated the ending to the mist though. DON'T KILL YOUR OWN SON STUPID!!!

Apparently the ending was in the same vein as the book, and as one Facepuncher said, "Did you expect it to be rainbows and teddy bears?"

But yeah, I wouldn't have done it.

edit:

PS:

Some people did say that HL is taken straight from King, some sketches that he drew were inspiration for some of the HL creatures and such.
