K...this game is amazing..its an hl2 mod, and everyone needs to get it...
just go to the steam store and search for Hidden:Source...
playin this might help us practice for being the Hunter in L4D...it seems very similar.
its u, and invisible dude with a knife, and u can jump really far and high, and u can stick to teh the walls... and ur against all the other ppl, who have guns
its sweet...we can all get it and play it together

Yeah, I got it a few days ago. It sounds great on paper, but:

The Hidden seems to take too many hits.

I have a really tough time seeing him, the only time I get half a chance is when he's stupid.

The equipment doesn't really help much, and you can only take 1.

Depends on what weapon you choose. Shotgun can blast him away instantly :>

Thats the point to make it realy frightening, plus you have to remember that most of the time it is 1 vs up to 16 (I think). The only chance the Hidden has to kill all soldiers is to plan his attacks wisely.
One of the coolest features are the voice messages of the Hidden. A good player will not only kill one after another but completly freaking the shit out of people by intentionaly triggering the motion detectors and using his voice messages. I can tell you: There is nothing more creepyer than a rusty sounding voice that is telling you "I see you!" while you are alone in a hallway or whatever.
The longer you play the game the better your eyes attach to blurry movements at the edge of your view.

Again, it´s 1 vs more. If you are new to the game and play as the Hidden you will notice that playing him is more difficult than you probably expected. The pigsticker (second attack of the knife that kills you instantly) is a weapon that is VERY powerfull. In fact, many servers disabled pigsticker because of that.

do u mean that with nightvision u can see him? cuz it doesnt really help at all...
plus i noticed the Hidden never has a chance on the map traindepot if there is more than like 5 ppl...they all camp outside in a corner and he cant just kill one at a time
there was one map that was like a haunted mansion, almost completely black w/ darkness...it was really creepy and we had very difficult time seeing the Hidden

I love the mansion, and the best thing to do is to run down first thing as the Hidden and hide atop the giant statue with all the humans in the room and say "I see you." It makes everyone incredibly creeped out. Also, the painting room is the best for killing the last person but playing with the bodies and the paintings first. Once I was the last one left and I went into a hallway and the hidden guy had stuck all the bodies by the legs to the ceiling so I had to push them all out of my way to go through it. That's another good way to get people freaked.

Night vision helps a lot in seeing him, especially in the mansion map. Sit in a corner, stick on your Nightvision and find a spot you can see the whole room. It's sticks out like the white rat in Willard.

Yeah it would have to be one of the creepiest/most amazing moments that I've ever experienced in a video game, ever. Words can't describe it, really.

Yeah, I forgot that they could do that... Obsolete graphics aside it is quite atmospheric. As long as you don't actually see them being strewn up there like christmas decors. Whole boneless ragdolls flying around the place destroys the mood sometimes, and it only really works on that dark mansion level, and maybe the one with the 3 story building, and 3rd story is Hidden only.

Still, ELITE TEAM of who the fuck cares and they dont bring thermal goggles... pfft.

Tried it an didn't like it too much. The atmosphere is nice but the gameplay is kind of crappy cause the hidden is way too hard to see. Seems like the best hidden players are not good at stealth they just run circles around you an kill you. I even played as a hidden a few times an its just not what I would expect. Would prefer the knife always one shot them but the hidden be easier to see when he moves. Guess its just a beta though an its impressive considering that.
