Yeah, spend the 50$ extra and snag the new 8800GT's... they are between the GTS and GTX, yet quite a bit cheaper.

ATI HD 3850, noly £100, dats $200? They are great cards, cheap, fast, and cool. Great oc'er aswell, or go for the 3870 but its quite abit more, like £180(i would choose 8800GT over 3870, but 3850 is such great value. It's a great buy!

get the 8800 256/512
or 7950s in SLI

ive got the 640, going for another one for SLI

i believe the 7950 is better for gaming.

please correct me if im mistaken, but the 8600 is more for running programs rather than games.

Bit of an old topic this, what did anti zombie task force buy in the end?

Hope he steered clear of the 8600GT.

its a great card for Left 4 Dead as it is past the games recommended requirements (taking tf2 and episode 2 into account) but its not good for long term use. but if u are not interested in running newest games (excluding valves games) then it will not last u very long. still a good card though.
