lol I was playing zombie master with kash munni last night and, it was me and this other guy named stiffe, and I was in this bar, and the other dude was outside it. *I believe its called sunnytown or somethin like that* Anyways, the alarm went off saying that gas would hit the streets in 10 secs, and you must get to a car or a house to escape it, or else its death. So I was in the bar, with a lot of drifters and I hoped on top of these canisters and waited for them to get close, (mind you I had 5 health) and then I pulled a dawn of the dead remake. "FUCKIN NURSERY, FUCKIN FIGURES." BOOM.
Kash asked me would I sucide in l4d, first I said no, then I thought about it. If im the lone surviver and theres a horde coming towards me, and I cant do shit, best believe im pulling another dawn of the dead remake

EDIT: anyone else think a dawn of the dead map would be great? It could have the exact same missions as the movie.

I think the only acceptable time to do that is if all the others are surviving and you are a tad behind and theres a giant horde rushing towards you so you tell everyone to run and pipe bomb 'em, taking you out with 'em.

First step is admitting it.

Well me and Kash had another experience today. We where in this server, and I think we where at the map called backwoods. The admin was in the room and I had sprayed my spray, and he saw it but didnt know whos it was. He asked me to spray it, and I asked him why, then he asked me cause I wanna see somethin now just spray it, so im like, if you wanna know if thats my spray then yea it is. Then he told me to change it then comeback. So I said ok. So I left, came back, and avoided him for some time, he found me and told me to spray it, I said I cant spray it on the ground, he said yes you can now spray it, so I said lets do it at the house, so we get back to the house, and like half of the people in the server was following me, so I ran to the garage. He said now spray it, I said ok, I jumped on the explosive can, and shot it and killed myself then disconnected.

Sure, id do it for the rest of the team, like one of these u can find in any movie , like, ive got low hp,a pipe bomb, and the rest of the team ahead of me, we are in a long corridor im in the middle, Infected on one side and the team on the other, i go like "GO WITHOUT ME ! IM ALREADY DEAD ! GO! NOW ! GOOO!!" They get outside,the horde of infected i getting closer and my last word is "For Freedom!" and BOM !

Even though i got almost the whole Crowd down it would only slow the infected for some seconds. The rest of the team would slowly be taken out one by one because if you loose one teammate and don't stay very focused and alert your playtime will be very very Short. So the whole suicide thing is kinda unnecessary But really fun and cool. So yes i would.

I saw all that and heard all of it, it was freaking hilarious ! ! I'm still laughing about it now..

When I saw all that happen I got some nasty ass hentai spray and the same thing happened to me.. People ratted me out, lol.. I tried to suicide but Sora wasted the barrels. The admin got me cornered and I didn't spray it so I got the Almighty Ban Hammer D=

I understand some admin rules, but he was a total douchebag to me, he was acting like a ass when I asked him why I had to spray it. I would have changed it if he wasnt acting like an asshole to me.

Just a quick reply to the "generic red barrels" post,
At the rooftop stage of the level I played the ground was littered with gas tanks for some reason. We arranged them in a nice little system before the infected got to us and had a nice parade of flaming corpses to watch. We didn't get into a situation that involved self sacrifice though. If I remember correctly I was pulled off the roof so I didn't have a choice of bringing a few down with me. Last game on the last night of QuakeCon was pretty intense :P

i think a martyr achievement would be pretty cool.

it could be like the silhouette of a person hanging on a cross... or a pile of zombies with one survivor arm sticking out the top with a grenade in his hand and his thumb pulling the pin out

i think you should get it if you kill yourself and take out a certain number of infected or say a tank or boss or something. obviously if someone else blows you up its not you being a martyr, its them being a noob

but i think it would be cool cus it would just be another way of encouraging the train of thought that youre part of a team and sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to help the team out. besides, if someone was willing to blow themselves up to help me get the hell out of there, than i want that dude on my team
