Ok I highly doubt that there will be alternate costumes\or whatever you wanna call what the group are wearing, but doesnt anyone else think that it will be weird seeing them in the same thing on every map? I mean, if they are on the country side, I dont think they will be wearing the same stuff as they are now. I would expect some country stuff, but hey Im just sayin.

I think, what's more important than alternate skins for the survivers are alternate skins for the infected. We have seen that some of the individuals of the common horde inside the hospital wear pantient gowns and so on. What would be even better was if the Bosses' clothing matched the campaign as well, at least a distinction between rural and urban. I imagine the Boomer in big dungarees for example, or the smoker wearing a flanell shirt if that's not too much of a cliché. :P

I wouldn't mind if the survivers always looked the same, because we don't know how long they have been fleeing from the zombies so far. That means (imo) their skins don't have to be proper for the campaign. Besides it might be easier for the player, from a gamplay perspective. The infected on the other hand are not likely to have traveled any longer distances, so their outfits should be fitting.

Although that is a brilliant idea (Email Booth!), it won't happen. The dev's won't put that much work into making multiple outfits for the survivors. I doubt that the boss skins will change, although infected skins will probably change per map. Wouldn't make sense to see a medical patient zombie on a farm :p

yup. and i think we mightve already seen that. remember in the hospital gameplay video where once they get into the hospital a majority of the zombies are dressed in patient gowns. i doubt it was just a coincidence :P

I dont think you know enough about TRS to say that, if you arent a dev, then please dont say how much work they will put into anything.

Nice idea Forelle

I want to see them wear wear the clothes of all the main characters from silent hill 1-4! There's 3 guys and 1 girl in there, so it would be perfect! Also, SILENT HILL MAP WITH SILENT HILL ENEMIES YAY!

They said they would add in enemies in the future... ADD THE SILENT HILL ENEMIES!!!

ditto for a Resident Evil setting, but the costumes there are debatable (Jill or Claire outfit? hmm...)

let Left 4 Dead be Left 4 Dead, not any resident evil or silent hill adaption...

well if TRS doesn't put in different outfits and such, then im sure that there will be mods with different skins.

If im not mistaken, didn't the scan from that one magizine say that the boomer's stomach would juggle(lol) over his overalls... I dont think that he has overalls in the urban city map. So, i think that the boss infected clothes change with every scenario...

yea i think it would be cool to see the survivors clothes change with every map. good idea

Dark, you kisunderstood me. I wasn't talking about that from a work ethic perspective, rather a productivity/economical perspective. It would be better for them if they didn't do it as it would be a lot of work, with relatively little payback. It would be awesome, but I seriously doubt that they will do it, especially in the first release. A second release update with that would be entirely possible, but I think that they've laid down their expectations and are working towards them and fixing the bugs. Also, I think that had they been planning on this seriously for the first release, we would have heard something about it, like other features. And shadowslayer, screw what I said about boss's, I meant different boss skins depending on map. I think that probably they have maybe 3 skins for each boss, that way it's not like you're killing the same infected each time. Not to mention they'd have to make the boss skins make sense for each map, so nothing special, just clothes methinks. Also, that would be more economical because they could replay the different infected skins on each map, opposed to making different skins for each survivor on EVERY map. But frankly, the only real reason I have for doubting this is that we have yet to see hide or tail of it, and that time hasn't come yet. It'd be awesome though, great idea though. And also dark, it's weird being insulted by a person who openly admits to being a douche :D

Uuuh no, Survivors are more important. Nevertheless, it WON'T be done. Simply put, there's not enough diversity in the maps to warrant this. Atleast from what we know so far about the 4 campaigns. Their outfits all fit the maps within some degree of realism. I mean, would you expect them to change into overalls for the farm map?

It's a good idea, but they could just go with a whole new set of characters for a whole new set of campaigns in an expansion or something. And if we're talking skins, it's probably something the modding community will be up to.

Yah, even in an expansion release, I think it's more likely that they'll make different survivors to choose from. Like an extra male and female survivor, so its not the same four people every game. (but more likely a couple new boss monsters, since they affect gameplay more)
let Left 4 Dead be Left 4 Dead, not any resident evil or silent hill adaption...
Yah seriously. But when a good ResEvil or SilentHill mod comes out, it'll be the first time I play either games. If they jus made a good RE shooter on PC, I'd be a huge fan.

Anyway, JohnnyFlash hinted at no new outfits.

Modelling a new outfit isnt hard. They could even just reuse most meshes, for example: Zoey in the same outfit, but instead of a jumper, she could wear a tank top or something, with smudges in different areas in other places. Possibly even different hair. Its not that hard to model when you're a professional (Like the people at TRS). They could possibly make just over half an outfit a day if they know what outfit they wanted to create.

yea, he said somethin like the characters has there same costumes to make it easy to differentiate between survives and zombies, and that there costumes has already been programmed into the games UI.
