Will you be able to chat in Left 4 Dead like typing to each other? or even using mics?

you have the command wheels like the command lists in counter strike only different commands. Besides that, you'll have typing just like all other source games and mods, and you'll be able to talk just like all other source games and mods.

Really, if ALL OTHER SOURCE GAMES AND MODS have this then why not Left 4 Dead? You always press T to spray Y to talk, U team talk, and K for voice (although, I like setting the voice key to Q since I never "switch to previous weapon")

Like Nemesis said communication is a big deal in this game and you've got lots of options. Typing, mic, multiple chat wheels that command different voice commands (look here, wait up, etc). Finally, your characters communicate some more redundant information for you (most notably, your character will shout reloading while doing so).

i just usualy keep the key commands the same, exceept for when i swtich the voice key to v, much easier on my finger to talk.

what do you mean dontleave? there has to be VOip in this game, it would be boring, in a sense, if you had to use the command wheel all the time.

They should put in the text-to-speech thing that ut2k4 and ut3 have.

you can type anything and hear a computer voice say it, and if someone else types something, the computer voice says that too.

Also, in ut2k4 and ut3 the bots actually follow orders you give through the mic! Awesome! No other game has the common sense to make the bots follow orders through voice recognition! Hooray for UT3!
