I think the actors actually look pretty good for the parts, their face structure is very similar to the characters. Makeup will do the rest.

erm no, in db goku was also a adult, i haven't watched it myself but i hear he fought chi chi in a tournment and they somehow both got together. Anyway if picollo is one of the villians, then its probably a copy of the manga storyline where picollo is evil and crap, just before the 1st ep of DBZ. So yeh this is dragon ball, not dragon ball z.

Still, anime dialouge and story + real life actors and cgi effects = not the smartest idea as its gonna look cheesy to copy XD. This is either gonna flop REALLY HARD, or be done right, and even then some people won't like it i think.. considering they want to realease it next year? i have my money on its gonna fall flat on its face and not even hit cinema, probably just dvd release.

If it is a big sucess, then i will eat my copy of L4D XD cd n all

Lame. Cartoons should not be made into LIVE ACTION movies, I mean Avatar is being made by M. Night. Shaymalan. "Ok so at the end of the movie, the people are going to find out that the real world is a cartoon cause they hit this big invisible wall right, and then these people look at them and they're like WTF?" The guy playing Goku fits perfect. His face shape, especially the jaw, is dead on.

And yes, the movie is set towards the later part of Dragonball, where Piccolo is still a bad guy.

I have high hopes for this movie. Kung Fu Hustle was awesome, and they did a great job incorporating CG into the real action. In fact, when I first saw Kung Fu Hustle, I said to my friend, "Man, this guy should do a DBZ movie!!" (Shaolin Soccer was good also, had more "special" attacks and was less like a traditional kung fu movie)
