From the video's I have seen it does not look that great. Also 87 bazillion guns? I never thought I would say it but that is to many guns. Hard to imagine that they are all different. Probably like 10 guns but tons of skins... Of course I am just talking out of my ass and I could be totally wrong. I don't think I will be buying it. I'm not made of money so I will just have to deal with playing Modern Warfare 2 and L4D2. :D

Well no one really knows how much different weapons you could get in Diablo 2, but still the variety of items made the game so popular!

@Easton I read about stuff that already has my interest. I watch a short video or two to get a general idea about a game. If I think I will like it I do further research.

Researching is the best thing you can do whenever buying a game. There are just too many games out there that sell only because of the brand name rather than the game it self.

Fallout 3 was more RPG and less FPS, not the case here. And it didn't have 4 PLAYER CO-OP did it? If so, I wasted hundreds of hours.

To answer though, I'd tell you any day this game will be worth 50-60 bucks.

Playing: You play with the character, advancing his/her skills and abilities

Game: Digital media requiring personal input

Remember that it's an FPS first, RPG second. They took some off the fun stuff of RPG's (skill trees, looting, gaining levels) and plopped it into a fast paced shooter. If you don't mind a minimal story and some weird menu stuff with the PC, then i'd say go for it. Or wait for a sale...

...then practically every game is an RPG? lol. I wanted turn-based, like the other Paper Marios. Also, I was bitter because I wanted another Super Mario RPG - quite possibly one of the best games ever created. Oh, and for the most part Super Paper Mario was face-palmingly easy.

I might rent it first, but there's a good chance I'll get this one.

I'd get the xbox version.

had me at item pickups being similar in style to diablo

lost me when I found out it was strictly co op, no mmo pvp

meh it's on the list but i'm not in a rush to get it

Well there is a small PvP system for 1v1 or 2v2, but it's not the point of the game.

I still wish doing multiplayer did not require so much hoop-jumping. I am not a trained dolphin! >:(

So I can get games to work with friends, but we have to forward our ports, put Hamachi as top priority on our connections menu, and make sure that the game is successfully launched after the host makes a lobby, since if the lobby fails you have to restart Borderlands to successfully host a lobby again.
