View Full Version : Guess the Game Stephen Fry is Working On

Slightly more shallow than most of the threads I make, but I thought this could spark a little discussion. Stephen Fry (http://tinyurl.com/aqsb7x) posted the following thing on his twitter a matter of minutes ago:

"Voiced a game character today. Can't say any more, I'm afraid. NDA and all that. I say, though - isn't it dark? I mean golly, eh? Sheesh."

I thought it would be fun to try and figure out what he could be doing. Extreme scepticism is welcome here, as everything is fundamentally guesswork. My first couple of guesses have been as follows:

Dark Void
Alan Wake
Fable III (just because they tend to hire British guys for that)
Splinter Cell: Conviction (the extreme end of the plausibility scale, in my eyes)

Well, he did voice a character in Fable II, so my guess goes to Fable III

He's pretty famous, to say the least. If you've ever played LittleBigPlanet, he is the instructor/tutorial guy. Little bit of context for you.

Ah yes, I forgot about that. I hated Reaver, which was a shame because I think Fry did a really good job with what he was given.

Stephen Fry is a film and television actor, writer, director, comedian, author and television presenter who has a career spanning decades. What more can a guy do to get some reckognition?

He holds the UK record for most times saying "fuck" on a live television broadcast.

EDIT: Looks like we started veering off topic. As the OP, I guess it's my responsibility to steer it back. Anyone else have any theories of what game he could be talking about? He seems to hint specifically at darkness, and also keep in mind he has a very identifiable British accent. As Bloodshed and I pointed out, he has worked on titles such as LittleBigPlanet and Fable II, so he is no stranger to big-name brands.
