This doesn't worry me because I did not get the Swine Flu vaccine, and it doesn't worry me because I've been building my immune system ever since I got a really bad stomach virus back when I was 25. So 9 years worth of natural immune builders makes me almost immune to the flu, and I'm pretty sure the swine flu.

It angers me and disturbs me that the American media is basically ignoring this, but I'm not scared I'm going to catch the virus.

I'm merely suggesting that these diseases are for the best and I am not pointing fingers saying one person deserves to live whereas another deserves death, it's about as equal-opportunity as you can get. Also I was stating that it's awful ludicrous sounding that people believe grabbing their closest weapon will increase their chances of surviving an actual disease.

**Sidenote** : There is not now, nor will there ever be an epic full-scale zombie attack, stop wishing for it and talking about grabbing your guns every time a serious disease pops up.

This obviously isn't getting through to that obviously intelligent brain of yours for you so let me explain it to you in biological terms.
In biology, viruses and other such diseases serve us one helpful purpose, being limiting of the ever-expanding population.
Think about it this way, if we as a species were to continue growing at a rate hampered only by ourselves, each other, and various predators (which are almost virtually non-existant for humans) we would die out of resource deprivation within a rate of 4, maybe 5 generations (considering that the human birth rate continues at the rate which is in today's society).

This is why widespread disease in a way, is very good for society. However, nowhere in my ramblings did I ever once suggest suicide or blatant retardation, if you have the means to save yourself from a disease then by all means do so. What I was saying however is that having a gun next to you during a disease will not help, at all.

Now when you're done reading this, be sure to add another ludicrous interpretation of my writings and ask me another retarded question, because that's obviously what you're good for.

Yes, fish contains amounts of mercury, which is why when women are pregnant it is advised that they eat very little amounts of fish, too much may lead to mercury poisoning (I believe that is the term) in unborn children.

I have to agree with Hon3r, most of your stories you post have made no impact in any of our lives, though I believe the swine flu one and the start of the recession, though the rest have not grown or anything, also a few of your websites I am linked to cause my browser to freak out (Web of Trust+AVG) and tell me to leave the page. Though if this is true, I hope they border up the place so it cannot spread. I'll keep my eye for it, and if you really want the media to see this, send an e-mail to fox news and CNN, if CNN picks it up it will cause all news networks to follow, and why do I say fox? example, researchers developed an HIV vaccine... but there were only 30% fewer cases in the group that was given the vaccine. Statistically significant, even though you may not think it worth getting.

And doctors do want people to get the shot, the problem is that they're not... you know, reporters. They're doctors. I've found several articles in Canadian papers that were interviews of doctors telling us to get the shot.

So it turns out the early reports about the black lungs were confirmed, the immune system is now ripping your lungs apart when you come in contact with this virus.

Still, the reports of this and the deaths seems a little too low...

I don't believe the million infected number. 3 different viruses. What are they testing for and how many are they testing? Seems to me they are trying to water down the data a bit. No way do I believe the Ukraine, with a pop of 50 million, has been able to test 1 million people.

I also wonder how many death certificates say cause of death was 'cardiac arrest' or 'heart failure' and such.

Final Update (unless something big happens)

It looks like it made it's way to the US, more hemorrhagic deaths reported in Iowa

So we now know this:
1. The new mutation allows the H1N1 virus to go deeper into the lungs at the start
2. It now resembles the 1918 strain closer due to lung hemorrhaging
3. Now turns your immune system against you via cytokine storm (explains charred lungs)
4. The new strain IS NO LONGER EFFECTED BY THE VACCINE

EDIT: I'd also like to point out this thing has developed resistance to Tamiflu, and most other anti virals used to treat it, so keep an eye out guys

Friends mum had H1N1 last week. Got over it within a few days. Just seems like a bit of nasty flu to be honest, despite all the mutations and panic.

Humans have gotten past far larger obstacles than this silly infection. I'd be more worried about cancer and AIDs than this, if I were you.

Or time-traveling robot dinosaurs, for that matter. RESISTANCE IS FUTILE
