Emp Gun.

Guys I know I've been asking alot of help for this kind of stuff, but its a project for my science class. And its worth alot. So any help you give me I HIGHLY appreciate it.

Well i took the subject on the EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse, somethin like that)
and so the teacher told me to try and control the energy into a beam.
So in other words, make an EMP Gun.
If I manage to do this, She'll give me ALOT of points.

The Catch is, she cant help me on anything. I tried googling it but I couldnt get any instructions on making it. All I got was this H.E.R.F gun thing that is pretty much the same. And all I got from it was, Magnetron (From any microwave I guess), Wave guide, and more but they wont say.

And I really dont know how to make an EMP gun or how to put the parts together to do it.
And I know that there are a lot of smart ass people in this forum, so this is the place I had to come to for help.

Any help will be HIGHLY appreciated.

All it is, is just energy thats all. A pulse of it, and if you can control it you can fry any electronic that its aimed to. Radio waves or things like that.
I'm just trying to find something or someone that will tell me how to build it. From what everyone else says you can do it by disassembling a microwave but they dont know anything more than that.

If anyone of you find how or know how by any chance, please post it here so I know. Thanks ^_^

Lol no cause we've been studying emp for awhile and all its effects blah blah blah so for projects she had each student make or do something with EMP. So I just decided to make something that can control the energy in one direction, and any electronic that comes in touch with it get completely fried.

So far I managed to figure out that the Magnetron in the Microwave is the power for the EMP, and that I have to build a waveguide (which controls the wave of energy from the magnetron in any direction I want without it going everywhere) and I have to figure out a way to power up the magnetron without having to plug it into an outlet. I know the basics for now the thing is putting it together.........

I've found this method to be just as effective when creating a blaster, you have to go "PEW PEW" instead, but the principle is solid

Lol I thought it was bullshit too thats why I kept asking her, and no High School. Junior.
Anyway, I've seen it though already through videos.
I guess they made a HERF gun or something thats like the EMP but doesnt permanetly damage the electronics. By disassembling the microwave, getting the magnetron which is what is used to create the wave things, then building a wave guide so that I can concentrate the waves to a direction that I want them to go to. Then find some good battery for the thing to be powered up without being plugged in.
Then its set, problem is I dont know how to put it together :P

I have 100 cubic cm neodymium magnets. They are ridiculously powerful, and if you let them jump together they shatter into a billion pieces of ceramic glass shards. it sucks. Heres a link for the same kinda thing. Also, I was stupid and called it a railgun. Railguns use electricity, mine is a Gauss Rifle. Mine was like 10X larger and was actually remotely dangerous. I punched through drywall and plywood. i was happy ^_^

- some magnets, ones from a lage electric moter work well, kinda above the size of a wheelchair one.
- a car battery
- some toilet paper (box of 4 is good )
- a metal table spoon (that can conduct electricity)
- some lighter fuel
- some car oil
- plastic tubing
- a cardboard box
- Aluminium foil
- pencils
- and a washing up bottle! (it always helps says blue peter!)

okay now follow this meathod:

-strip out the core of the eletric moter so the magnets are still in their rightfull places,
-cut open 4 plastic tubes, and wrap insides with some foil ( about twice the length of the moter) tape them together and place inside the moter.
- get the washign up bottle, and do some dishes with the stuff inside, it makes your mum happy
- get the pencils and stab some holes in the cardboard box and write on the side EMP GUN in cool BIG letters
- make sure there is a hole at which the washing up bottle can stick out from, and cut the bottle in half , stick the tubing to both ends of the moter and the washing up bottle with sticky tape, don't use pva glue otherwise the pulse will go into negitive and cause the glue explode in your face, don't take this lightly, it has the same effect as a atom bomb.
- place in the class room, to charge the gun, make battery connect to the moter
- ???????
- PROFIT!!!

Lol I finally found some kid in school that knows a lot about this kind of stuff. So I partnered up with him and built this little platform thing out of the microwave like I said. But it gets plugged in an outlet, which is not what I want, but dont matter. It doesnt generate enough power to shut down cars and shit like that. No, just enough to bug some electronics. Like a Computer monitor, if you aimed it right at it, it will start freakin out a bit. I havent tried it for a long time cause the last thing I need is the microwaves giving me cancer and shit. But I bet for a long time aimed at it would eventually shut down.
The only thing we need to figure out is to power it without an outlet, with a strong enough battery to keep it goin for a bit.
