Is this real? I think not, because that's a little more extreme than I imagined the USA... Btw, I've never been to a Burger King and visit McDonalds like 3 times a year... It can't be that good. :P
Wow, imagine how Americans would react if you took their guns away ;)

Is this real? I think not, because that's a little more extreme than I imagined the USA
After seeing what happened when a customer got angry about that whole breakfast sausage thing where they made them like 4 oz smaller, I think America would be a little more upset. America is fat, period. I went to a Wendy's while crossing through Michigan to go to Sault Saint Marie in Canada and into Elliot Lake, and the MEDIUM pop was HUGE. I went up and said that I only wanted a medium and she said that was it. I dont even want to see what a large looked like. Im not sure what the movie theaters in the US sell quantity wise, but here the pops are pretty large, I usually go through half of one and share it. But this was almost exactly the size of a medium pop at Wendy's.
So dont say oh we're stereotyped, its fucking true. Everywhere in the US there are giant people who are just stuffing their faces in buffets and greasy fast food. Im not pointing at these guys on this post because maybe you realize that like over half your country is considered clinically obese, but in general, America has some hefty people.

No. You guys are right... I looked really hard in the mirror. I was a fat white/black american. Not a slender, high metabolized filipino. And explains why I order food for two all the time (No really I do. And that shit empties my wallet). No but really, stereotypes aside, because I myself am not a 100% USA fan--
Oh crap, Burger Kings' open now. brb

Really not meaning to start a flame war (no, really i'm not), but your founding fathers actually didn't want to break off from the UK in the first place. They just didn't like the idea of paying increasing taxes being levied on them by the (admittedly corrupt) British govt to pay for various wars and economic problems. Also there was the rather sticky subject of slavery. In the UK, it was becoming a rather sore subject, but the majority of signees of the Declaration were slave owners, and some were slave traders who would have lost a substantial amount of cash if the slave trade was abolished.
Also, for a long time, the revolutionries actually wanted to keep the King as their new country's figurehead.
Then they went and had a tea party ......... I hope there were cream buns ;)

Was there even a point to get besides you massively generalizing about the people of the US?
I love how people make it sound like the US is the only place where non-healthy food is served. As if everyone else on the planet is eating low-carb, high-protein meals, meals blessed by Allah himself to make them not get fat or have any sort of clogged arteries...
Sure, there are fat people here... Sucks to be them, glad I'm not one of them.
But as long as we're generalizing, at least most of the fat people have decent teeth... =D Crazy Brits and their teeth! (all except Tek, because that man is a fucking awesome person)

As a Canadian, it is my duty to step in and referee this battle. I want a good clean fight, come out swinging.
By the way there have been assloads of statistics showing that although everyone eats bad bad fast food.... Americans eat it more often and in more quantity.

I don't know how much fast food there is in Europe, or Canada, but here, there are tons of places. I have always been under the impression that there wasn't much fast food in Europe, save McDonalds. So, if people in other countries aren't eating "fast food", thats great, but is the food they are eating any healthier than fast food? I wonder about that sometimes.
But people like to make it seem like America is the ONLY place unhealthy food is served, and that its the only thing here.
Also, who is the battle between? Colonials vs. Great Britain? Cause if so, we already won once... =P

As a Canadian... we're fucking fatasses too. Not myself personally... but if I find out im missing out on anything else because the general demographic is fat and lazy ima fucking kill the next person over 180 pounds.
It's actually an asssore to find out you have to do 80 hours of on your own time physical activity, because half a million spoiled pricks are eating to many wagon fucking wheels.

I gotta say, it's really isn't just the Yanks or them thar Canucks who are fat. You should see the shit parents are shovelling down the gobs of their kids over here in the UK!
We have a celeb chef called Jamie Oliver. Even though he can be a bit of a twat, he proved that schools are able to provide interesting, tasty, and healthy meals to kids whilst keeping within their very slim food budgets (here's a shocking stat for you, prisoners get more cash per head spent on food than per child in schools!)
This health kick was then begrudgingly adopted by the govt, after much lobbying. And what thanks did Mr. Oliver get for his troubles? Parents (tbh, low income, low IQ parents) moaning that their kids dont want salad, they want turkey twislers, it's their right to eat shit. There was actual footage of parents passing McD's through the bars of the school gates to their kids!!!!!!!!! WHAT ...... THE ........ FUCK!
I'm due to become a dad in the next few months (yes, that's right a dad! Expect the four horsemen anytime soon), and the wife and I have already agreed that we will only take the kid to fast food places on very special occasions (and then only as a last resort). We eat pretty healthly even now and will feed the kid exactly what we eat (within reason, no chilli for at least 4 years).
The reason why so many kids are fat are the parents. Yep I said it, it's that big fucking elephant in the corner of the room that no govt. is willing to admit is there!
Ok, rant over.

This is soooo true. Agree 100%. (err, aside from things like thyroid problems and other medical problems that cause obesity)
