Yes, we all know (or at least most of us) that the survivors talk to each other, and sometimes say random funny stuff, like "wow! this is exactly like CS! :D" or something like that.. :P

So! my question to you simply is - what would you like to hear the survivors say? :)

i don't think u would be cracking too many jokes with 20 rabid ppl on ur ass. I do want a lot of different sound clips from the survivours and infected, but jokes would take away the realism too much in my opinion. The voice clips in TF2 are brilliant "Thanks for stayndin still waynka" etc but thats a cartoony game so they fit, for left 4 dead i want a lot of arrrrgg ughhh "im so scared" kinda clips;P

I have noticed that it in the videos, it just comes up a text-message saying "X attacked a teammate"

But I think it would be nice if also the survivors being shot at said something.

like: Hey, watch your fire!! that's me you're shooting at!!

Puscifier, I mean they'd crack jokes really rarely, like once every 10 rounds or something you might hear a joke. And it'd only happen right after you killed a bunch of zombies and are safe for a few minutes.

I would like to see that too. However, some questions struck me that quite frankly worries me a little.. :s

I mean, how does it work when you want to use your headset or microphone to talk to the other players?? does this automatically cancels out the in-game chattering of the survivors?

How would it look like if you wanted to say something really important to your teammates over the mic but they couldn't hear what you were trying to tell them becuase the survivors in game won't stop talking, Zoey keeps yelling "yeah, kick-ass!! :D", Francis keeps yelling "Get your rear in gear!", Louis goes "It really hurts.... I don't think I'm gonna make it... :(" and Bill yells "RELOADING!!"... all this at pretty much the same time..

would be nice if they all quiet down when you where about to speak over the mic, or what do you guys think?

Also, how does the chattering from the survivors work? will you be able to turn it off? can you even change the amount of chattering? because, I'm thinking of the CS:S bots right now, where you could chose to have Normal communication, just Radio communication, and then just mute them. Will this be the same thing in Left 4 Dead??

like in TF2 there is constant explosions, shotguns, characters yelling shit, people spamming medic yet you can still hear what people are saying over their mics. it should be fine
