Well as we aproach the end of the noughties I just thought it would be interesting to see what peoples opinions are.
Heres how it will work:
You can nominate three people. No more nominations after the 15th and then I shall add a vote to the thread with all the nominations (I think thats possible?). Voting will then close on 31st december 23:59.
This is about people who you think have had a massive impact on the world today, in any shape or form.
Right. My nominations:
George Bush. (US president for most of the decade, got the US involved in a unwinnable war, comicly stupid at times.)
Osama Bin Laden. (Basicaly changed the attitude of the western world into one of paranoia and fear.)
David Beckham. (Became a world famous icon of football. Maybe one of the most famous people in the world. Even if he is a manc twat.)
Actualy I'm wondering if this might be better done in catagorys (Political, Music, Sport etc.) but that might get a bit complex.

Steve Erwin: A legend who showed all animals can be friend with us.
Lady GaGa: Somehow became amazingly famous with bad music.
Micheal Jackson: The King of Pop deserves a spot in this list. Amazing music, dancing etc.

Al Gore: Brought the problem of climate change to the public's attention.
Al Gore is a tool. Remember how he "invented" the internet?
Al Gore brought "the problem" of climate change to the public's attention?
Puhhhhhhhhlease......
First off, global warming is not a proven theory. There is no consensus from the scientific community one way or the other on the whole thing. The climate/temperature is always going to go up and down over the course of decades.
Secondly, how can you even believe in this crap theory? I don't know where your from Bloodshed, but it's been colder than ever the last two years here in wisconsin. So, I don't know where this global warming phenomenon is taking place but it sure the fuck isn't here.

This, basically. Also, it's hard to be skeptical when the weather is as wierd as it is here at the moment. Oh yeah, did I mention a few years back there was a FUCKING TORNADO IN BIRMINGHAM. I MEAN WHAT THE FUCK!?

Freak weather conditions happen. It has rained frogs before, compare that a tornado in somewhere its not meant to be and it sounds pretty normal.

Take a look at the size of the ice caps compared to a few decades ago.
That doesn't actually prove anything, the fact that we still have ice caps means that we are officially still in an ice age. They come and go over the years.
