Puscifer posted this already but I though I'd bring it back...
Tactics.
- Here's mine.
Like most predators who hunt in packs , the infected could kill off survivors by singling each one out.
Instead of attacking any random survivor, two infected concentrate attacks on one survivor from start-to-finish (A "killing buddy").
In this case, (Bill) may be overwhelmed by boss infected 25% more, he may be wounded 25% more, and be 25% less likely reach the red door alive.
Other survivors won't be attacked as much, but one by one, they'll be systematically whittled down.
Or that could fail too...
What about you guys?

It's almost as if there's anything smarter to do other than focus fire on each survivor.
I agree. If you are planning to play as the boss infected, the best tactic is to go after the weakest player in the group, just as lions or a pack of wolfs always go after the old or the sick ones, or the very young ones. because those types are the weakest.
And if all the survivors are 100% healthy and there isn't really one that is weaker then the other. just single out a survivor and only attack him/her anyways. Because even if you fail in your attempt to kill the person, at least you will hopefully wound the person, slowing him/her down. and then the whole group of survivors must slow down too... ;)
And that my friend, can get very dangerous for the survivors, because they really should be constatly moving, and the faster they move as a group, the better chances of survival :P

Watch Zoey get picked off in this.

It might be bad luck. But this player was picked apart by boss infected from 2:40 to 6:40. The infected side might have deliberately used that picking tactic.

how about making the survivors killing each other?? you jump in whit the hunter and jump out a quickly as you can do this often enough and the suvivors will panic and shoot each other :D
At first, you should have all four as your target. The when the tank is avaliable and do some damage to the survivors; single out the weakeast one. Then when one falls, the rest fall with him.

I'd try to coordinate my attacks with the common infected as good as possible. Maybe prevent them from passing the Witch easily.

I'd say track them as long as possible, then, when one falls behind or gets too far ahead, pounce (hunter) or hang 'em high (smoker)

Untill i play the game i cant really think of any proper tactics like, but generally it would be best to hold of following the survivours waitint for an opotune moment to attack:)

Well you can do just the opposite, just split them up and let Mr. D do the rest.
Or do something similar to what the Hidden does. Or atleast good Hidden's.
IŽll be the Boomer most of the time.
Oh, the glory and honor will be all mine when I erase the whole survivor team at once

What I'm going to love about the Tank is you can use him however you want. But if there's any opportunity for me to bring everyone down in one attack, it's the Tank.
All you'd need to do is knock all four survivors down as fast as possible before dying.
And its game over man.

Imho this would be the easiest tactic. And you could also easily lure a survivor away from the group by making him follow you around just a single corner. That would be enough to punce or choke him. Maybe it won't be lethal the FIRST time, but it will split the group even further as one or two just might turn around to help him. Damn it! I can't wait :D:D:D

I will use the tank as a sniper!

Here's a new one.
Since Boss Infected detect flashlights, at least one survivor should volunteer to shut his light off so they can't keep track of every survivor. This could help foil ambushes if some humans are still "cloaked".

My tactic is to shooot the infected in the head. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
Sure that will work.

I've seen a video in which a hunter executes a quick hit to Bill and runs into a building, successfully luring Bill in with him. He lures Bill all the way up a flight of stairs and then I lost sight of him. To me, that seemed like a great way to separate him from the rest of the team.

One thing I noticed in one of the gameplay movies was a tank coming immediately after the survivors left a safehouse.
Now, wouldn't a good tactic to be to go back inside the safehouse, wait for the tank's rage to fill up so it dies? Cause things did not go well during that segment of footage. Three survivors down, real quick.
Can you shut the safe house door again after you open it? Or after you take the bar off, is it just a normal door?

Well, I noticed that enclosed spaces mean that you can't run away from the tank.
But more than running away, the most important thing to do when encountering the tank is to get everyone to focus their fire.

What I described is possible though?
