Computer randomly shuts off

Never has happened before, but just today its happened twice: I was playing Garry's Mod, when my computer Fan or processor speeds up, then my computer restarts on its own.

Any ideas what caused it?

Eww. First guess is some sort of overheating.

It happends to me once every few times. But then again, I never shut down my pc.

Did you get a BSOD or any error message? Usually you get a 'your computer has suffered from a serious error' when it reboots, did you get anything like that?

Have you installed any new drivers recently or made any hardware changes?

could be caused by a number of things, over heating of cpu/gpu, bad memory stick are the things that jump out at me first. or have you added any hardware recently, maybe your psu isn't sufficient enough.

My guess is that there is too much dust etc. inside your computer. You might want to clean it up (carefully).

I had that happen to me while playing gary's mod too on a few occaicions.

And now taht computers tottally in the shit and im left with this shit one here (N)

Use to happen to my older computer, the main problem with me was over heating, I took out the side cover which helped a lot!

Anyway, it stopped. I repositioned my computer around a little bit.

At first I was worried it was my Processor :(
