I got a PSP on release date and had the firmware hacked as soon as they figured it out. No idea where it is though, haven't touched it in years.

I have one. Firmware hacked one and one for just normal psp games. One un-skinned and one pimped out with Metal Gear Solid stuff that I made.

I have two around here, one 1000 and one 2000 series (Both obviously hacked).

I do like the 2000, but the 1000 has the weight that makes me feel comfortable lugging it around.

The 3000 and GO suck, especially the GO.

I have the PSP 1000, only game I used to play on it was DJ Max Fever, best rhythm game you can get for the psp. So much fun... Well until my circle button got stuck in and never came out.

Yes. Mine is at the point to where I have to hold the battery in for it to work. I honestly think PSPs are worthless pieces of junk and I will never have the need to own one. The one I own now was a gift from someone who said "fuck it, I have an iPod Touch."

Yes, piracy is a drawback to homebrew; and while I won't lie and say I have never pirated a psp game; homebrew also allows you to use emulators and other fun programs. My psp gets so much with Super Nintendo, Nintendo, Sega games to play all one console.

Let me tell you about my PSP:

1. If I turn it on, Imust do so a number of times before it actualy gets passed the wallpaper and loads the icons and stuff without crashing.
2. My Battery falls out constantly unless I hold it in.
3. If I want to view my Por -I mean videos, I must push further in my memory card with my finger for it to work.
4. The Metal bars that open and close the disc-tray-like-thing are snapped.
5. It now sounds like a Lawnmower when I turn it on, constantly roaring at me.
6. This is the most annoying thing that drives to the edge of insanity, My screen has Vertical Green 'Scan lines' that only dissapear if I bend the screen by pulling at the sides of my PSP. But even if I do get rid of the Scan lines, in their place are little dead red pixels that strangely go back when the Scan Lines re-appear. The lines are sometimes purple too.
7. I can see a Big bright, vivid light shining out from around the screen and buttons that wasn't their before.
8. My Trinagle button breaks sometimes.
9. Games or dvds dont work.

All this has happened within the 200 Times I've dropped it. Don't realy know how much longer she has left. It's official, my PSP has Cancer.
