So what would you rather see the next time you open up Left4Dead 411?

A Solid Release Date from Mike's very mouth, or...

A Media Frenzy revealing all the Scenarios and improvements?

I'm tempted to say the release date, but I'd be delighted to see creens of the Airport campaign and maybe the new Hunter Gore :)

I said release date... mostly because I already have hours of Left 4 Dead footage downloaded to my hard drive.

Seriously, I already know I want the game. I know it's awesome. Tell me when it's going to be released. :P

Bah. Media for 3 reasons. We have seen no anythings of the new maps, and only 3 not so great pictures of the cornfields, second, a release date could kill a lot of ideas (I.e. release before March), and thrice, they could very well have a release and just not say anything until they are further along, and this is all assuming that the finishedness of their work is based on the release date, which it isn't. They work until they are done not until a deadline.

After playing ZP:S, I find myself appreciating TRS's approach to release.

I think that a game really needs to be done before it's released, especially when the players have paid for it.

That's cool n all that they want to get L4D fixed up, etc. But let's not pull a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. You can't be dishing out gameplay footage and game demos for like 2-3 years and not release any type of official media. I would've been better off not knowing about L4D until probably New Years or something...

A release date for three reasons.

We know when it's coming out. People can get ready and whatnot. Plus the knowledge of a release date that won't be broken is knowledge anyone here would love to have. A release date doesn't necessarily mean they'll be rushed and throw away some good ideas. It means a date, when the game is released.

It serves practically like advertisement, I mean ZP:S got a release date (albeit a lame release) and it garnered the mod a lot of attention. Not to mention, would any company honestly release info in a manner that isn't accompanied by media? I mean, big post on PHL for example: &quot;Left 4 Dead, February 14 2008!&quot; <No Picture> Of course there'll be a picture! That's insane!

The ability to gauge progress and media releases with regards to the actual release date.

That said, the slew of shitty mods for Source makes me REALLY want a media release. Right now.

As long as the game is great with lots of players on it im fine with both.. If this means waiting with giving the public a date, so be it. And its always nice to get some screens and new experiences of the game.

u know, i was wondering why companies don't release pics more often; well, TRS this time i mean.
like, if we ask, why cant they just plz give us a few every once in awhile; it doesnt take but less than 5 minutes to release some pics onto the web, and it helps more ppl find out about the game :)
