hi
im new here and i would like to make a map for l4D2 , i made my house a little bit but i don't care about that

my problems are:
1:(not that bad) is it only me or my hamemr always have to laod 5 min when its done?

now the real problems =(
2:any skybox does not work( i have styleguide_swamp but that does work!) and even if i copy form other map it still got an error!
[purple + black square traces, even if i type skybox in search it are all purple black traced ones)

3!: can anyone teach me how to make a zombie? i have checked and they only attack if i touch him whit my characters body and even if i shoot it aint hurt me it just jumping around like some crazy guy and if i look away then back then they gone xD

so can anyone help me because why would i start make a map if you won't have any enemys?

thx for reading! [the hammer one is L4D2]

edit : wooh! 500 hour milestone source sdk =D

1. It does take that long sadly, it must load all the content from both l4d1 and l4d2.

2.Okay first. Create a hollow block around your map using the 3dskybox texture, 3dskybox should be the name of the texture. Then select the skyblock and select tools, then click make hollow. Set the value to a negative number. Then go to map then map properties and put in the sky texture you want, use this link for sky names.

That should fix your problem, be sure to add in some environment lighting.

3.You need to create a nav for you rmap. Follow this http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Navigation_Meshes_%28L4D%29

Use 2d Skybox, not 3d.

Use 2d Skybox, not 3d.

oh .. thanks xD
but i dont understand anything about that websit eabout Rmap?
i did nav_edit or something, i did it on original map form L4D2 , i see lines and stuff and i understand a bit...
but if i use nav_analyze on my map then still doing crazy =/ only this is what i have problem whit:

generate a navigation block at that location. An easy way to view the grid is to open the Hammer configuration. Under "2D Views" set the "Highlight every 'x' grid lines" to 25 units. Now you can place objects knowing exactly how the navigation grid will be generated around them.
i have to do anything about the 2d view but i dont understand highlight? i just can't understand english sorry =-I
