Yeah, it should do. It uses the Source engine and all games I tried with it works (also mods).

yeah it will, the new service pack for Vista due in the next month will bring with it Dx10.1, which in a nut shell will solve alot of the Vista game problems. but im sure any game release 07 onward works fine on Vista.

L4D supports Dx10 i.e. Windows Vista.

L4D supports Dx10 i.e. Windows Vista.

We should be clear here, L4D doesn't yet actually have DX10 features in it, but it will run fine on a DX10-enabled system with Vista (since DX10 cards all run DX9).

As far as I know, Valve is waiting to add in DX10 until there's a significant portion of Steam users that could actually take advantage of it. I'm sure once that happens, L4D will have upgrades too.

It's a good question since Orange Box didn't exactly work straight out the box for me like it should have. You would think by now though game developers would be taking Vista into consideration. But usually the fixes just involve running the game as administrator or running it in an older DX compatibility mode.

What was your problem with Vista Sifer2?

Just asking as I was able to run all Valve games from day 1 with Vista and haven't had any problems since.

Well I couldn't run anything but Half Life 2 without reverting back to running the games on DX 8. I also got a lot of app crashes when trying to run Team Fortress 2 until I turned data execution prevention for it off. An it still crashes sometimes an occasionally there is no ground textures when I join a game. Im guessing some kind of problem with Vistas new security features.

Hmmm data execution shouldn't have caused any problems but if you know what you're doing then it's probably best switched off (damn annoying lol).

I'd point to graphics card drivers or something else rather than Vista, if anything it'll be your installation of direct x which is still unlikely imo but it's worth re-installing all the same.

If all that fails, or you've already tried it, have you tried reinstalling (or validating) TF2?

Any big name game that won't work on Vista would be a pathetic game, even if vista is horrid.
