Dont buy mods

Whatever happened to free mods? We need to not buy mods because generally 1/10 mods are worthwhile, and mods are supposed to be user made for users. Think, if we had to pay for every mod every made that we played we would be thousands of dollars in the hole. How many mods do you still play. Maybe 1 or 2 possibly 3. I made the massive mistake of buying tf2 without knowing the game was terrible and couldnt get my money back. DONT BUY MODS. END THIS MADNESS.

"mod"
A mod is a modification of a game already in creation.

"game"
Something that has modifications applied to it (among other things), AKA the creation of mods.

L4D is a game (pay for it).

TF2 is a game (pay for it).

Zombie Panic! Source is a mod (free).

Get it right.

I'm sorry rover64dd, but you got that totally wrong. When Valve hires a mod-team and pays them to develope a commercial product, like they did with CS, TF, DOD or GMod, then they have every right to charge money for it. Without that, a mod team alone would never be able to achieve high quality games like the afore mentioned.

Also, what makes you think that Left 4 Dead is a mod? Of what game? :-T

Btw, you cannot sell a mod at all, because regardless of it's quality, copyright laws prevent you from charging money for other peoples (Valves) content.

TF2 was not a mod. Gary's mod is the only "THIRD PARTY MOD" that you have to pay for, and it's well worth it.
