Okay, so i recently purchased a Nvidia GeForce 8800 ultra, and i am also contimplating on getting a second one to SLI it, but i'm not sure if its completely necessary, however playin crysis on full detail would be nice.
i do need a new PSU for it though wich kinda blows but i wanted a new one anyways. Any thoughts on what i should do?

I'd get a new processor first, otherwise it's just ASKING for a choke point..

Hmm, i have a rather new pentium dual core processor. 2 gigs of ram which will be shot up to four on my next trip.

If you have the money, and play Crysis A LOT on a huge resolution, go for it. Otherwise, I'd wait and spend that money on the next generation card.

Fair enough, you bring up a rather good argument there squerly boy.
i suppose that would work out probably better, so i gues i wont have to spend my money until next month when the next line of GFX cards come out, it seems like every month anyways.

My mobo currently still uses older socket 939 athlon 64/X2's, currently have a 4400+, worth it to upgrade to something else that fits in a 939 or just wait for the next entire overhaul and migrate over to intel?

i would go new overhaul, trust me its alot better.

Okay so i was on the XFX website, and they have a new motherboard that has three pci-E slots that you can hook up three sli cards.... thats just sad, there is no one that needs that much power, plus i dont think there is a PSU that would support that without bursting into flames and/or a vortex...

I'd definitely wait to switch, an overhaul will be money much better spent.

I wouldn't SLI that ultra. The next gen cards are rumoured to have dual GPU's in them!

Well worth hanging on, seeing as your current hardware is top spec anyway.
