I just got satore monster pack with doom3 monsters addon that has running versions of doom3 monsters. Also, I got the classica black aliens too with alien queen. Finally, with ballistic weapons mod it's JUST LIKE LEFT 4 DEAD. I don't think I'll mind the wait AT ALL.

(yes, the action does go in peaks and valleys when you set it up to, and yes, the monsters spawn randomly in out-of-sight spots, so it works perfectly)

to play left 4 dead's temporary replacement get this:

UT2004
Satore monster pack
alien monster addon
doom3 monster pack addon

then do this:

edit the satore monster waves to be random, or just make all the waves spawn only zombies or only aliens.

I just remembered that I have a RURAL MAP JUST LIKE CORNFIELD'S FARM. Sure, it doesn't have the cornfield, but it has the farmhouse setting and a river running through.
