Hey bud from the looks of your current situation, you definitely need to buy some new hardware if you want to play L4D. Sorry to say but your whole system needs an upgrade. I wouldn't recommend those buying the hardware in those links you posted. For one they are way too pricey and second they still wouldn't work well. I'm curious how much you'd be willing to spend on new parts. I assume your Canadian so I would suggest you check out tigerdirect.ca they have amazing deals there (check out the 8600 GT ($100) or 8800 GT($300) and the Corsair $60 memory). If you need anymore help feel free to ask me. :)

Lol yea I wasnt realy planning on play l4d on my pc just my 360 but I would of enjoyed it if I could, I just want to play my games with no lag lol and play crysis but that wont happen. Ohh and do you think they got any pc's their for under 600$ that can run crysis?

If it's any consolation, at least the delay in L4D's release gives you the time to upgrade your PC in time for it!

There'll still be a decent community for the game on the 360 in the meantime anyway :) I'll be picking up both at some point. I mean, 360 will be great to begin with, but people will lose interest with it eventually, happens all the time, the next big "no brainer shooter" thing will come along and L4D will be left behind.

But the PC community for it will be strong for so many years to come after it's released thankfully, so no matter WHEN i've got a PC powerful enough to play it, there'll still be people around :)

Errrr. All depends on your graphics card. That could swing it either way.

Stickgore, when it comes to RAM you need to let us know what motherboard you have so that you buy the correct rating RAM.

If you can post your full system spec, then we can recommend the most cost effective upgrades for you.

Zombie cow, same for you! Post full details please, makes it alot easier to give advice, and less likely for it to be wrong :D

You only have 1gig of RAM, I'd recommend 2gig for best gaming performance.

Don't know alot about that card, but i did find this:

the core of this card has been deliberately UNDERCLOCKED! It is in fact designed to run at 400mhz. With a teeny bit of effort you can make this into one of the best value AGP graphics cards around. To disable the clock lock that cripples this card use atitool http://www.techpowerup.com/atitool/ and set the core to its correct speed of 400

Worth doing.
If you can play HL2:E2 on max settings then L4D should run ok.

Since you need more Ram buy this http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools /item-details.asp?EdpNo=2206874&sku=C13-2022 (http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2206874&sku=C13-2022)

You'll be playing l4d on low-ish settings I'm guessing then...
