talking bout graphics here. since L4D will be using the newest EP2 engine, i was just curious. it is a multiplayer game so it shouldn't be more demanding then EP2, right? i been google searching this for a bit but cant find anything on it. so if anyone knows if this will be less demanding then EP2 please reply. thanks :D

We don't know what the requirements are for this game yet, as its still a good 6/8months away from release.
As a rough guide, if you can run EP2 maxed out, then you shouldn't have to much trouble with L4D.

for min requirements i'd say around 512MB or 1GB for RAM, around 2.4 ghz processor maybe a little lower than that even, and prolly around a radeon 9800 graphics card. I don't know GeForce since I use only Radeon
These are guesses for XP not vista.

Expect it to be about as demanding as TF2, maybe a little more.

I expect it to be more demanding than Episode 2, due to the fact that there will be lots and lots of zombies on screen at once, as well as the boss infected that might be around. I don't think it will be too much more demanding, though.
If you can run Episode 2 maxed, I wouldn't think there would be many problems. But if you struggle with Episode 2 on low detail, then yeah, Left 4 Dead might be a little more rough.

well i can run episode 2 with everything on max (cept shadow detail which is set to medium) and 8x AA, with a decent framerate of about 20-40 fps. but i dunno cause i was just curious wen i was playing episode 2 today a bunch of antlions and zombies came up (bout 20 or so) and it wasnt that laggy. u think it will still be fine? cause i hosntly don't want to play this game at half of wat it is.

You'll probably be fine then.
Processor:Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory:1024MB RAM(will upgrade to 2gb)
Graphics Card:Radeon X1650 Pro
The only game I plan on getting this year is L4D,and little I know about pc hardware. Will my pc handle L4D,at least, on high settings?

Once upgraded to 2 gig, your rig should handle left 4 dead on high settings (imo) although you might have to turn AA down.
What resolution is your monitor? 8xAA seems excessive.

Shouldn't have any problems then I'd have thought, except maybe having to turn down AA.

Huh, I play 16xCSAA... That's not excessive.
