Cannot stay connected to multiplayer game

Every time I try and join a multiplayer game (eg, Killing Floor, Left 4 Dead, etc) I connect and everything is fine for about 10-15 seconds and then suddenly I get a connection error and am removed from the server.

And this happens with every multiplayer game.

I'm not VAC banned and my internet connection is fine.

Thoughts on what might be causing the problem?

since when do those connection errors occur? did you change anything on your system before it happend (software and hardware)?

what firewall do you use? do you sit behind a router? checked for viruses already?

Didn't you switch ISPs recently to get a higher monthly cap? You can ask them if they have been noticing any problems on their end. I would also try to see if you lose total internet connection by bringing up your in-game browser and attempting to connect to www.google.com right after a disconnect. Is it only Source games or have you tried others like BC2?
EDIT: Oh I see, Killing Floor. Hmm... have you sifted through all of the connection help stuff on www.steampowered.com ?

I did some twiddling and I realized it was my firewallermajig. Gave it a tinker and now it runs correctlike.
