Hey guys I need to know if I can run crysis on medium settings cause im kinda interested in this game and don't want to play on low.

What my computer has:

Pentium 4 3.20 ghz
2 GB RAM
Windows XP
8500 GT 512 MB
17 inch monitor (resolution 1024x764)

and im not sure what else would be important to know. i did go on system requirments lab and this is what i got:

so the only thing i failed in the recommended requirments was in CPU and Video Card. but thats only 2 things and i barely failed it but somehow i'm barely above the minimum requirments, which is why i am here asking u guys. i am uncertain how well this will play so do you guys know how well i will be able to play it?

(oh and i forgot, i been trying to download the demo but my internet keeps freaking out on me so i keep having to restart the download of the game over after waiting 8 hours for it because it freezes up wen i lose connection and wont start up again. so thats why i am asking here also instead of waiting hours and hours for this download to complete)

Yeah, you'll be fine.

I got pretty much the score and I play with medium settings with decent FPS..

I can play on High settings, but it'll run like at 5-15 FPS.

Thats with my comp so I can't be exactly sure with yours..

I'm just judging by the score you got though so don't take my word for it, you'll probably be able to play on High with better FPS than myself, I'm not really to great with computers and their parts either so.. yeah.. :P

See if you can get the demo working so you can see how it'll run.

The minumum specs thing for crysis is pretty bullsh*t, they recommend a system far above whats actually required to play it.

Played the game on mediumspec. And it wasnt as beautifull as i hoped. It was just another fps only now you can shoot down some trees.
I suggest you go for cod4, ut4 or ofcourse the orange box.

well i have the orange box on the PC and it runs great but not so sure bout call of duty 4. i have COD4 on my 360 but i dont know if it will be worth a purchase on the PC since my CPU is not a dual core. but yeah does this game still look great on medium?

gonna try to re-download it tonight from a torrent (extremely slow) and just leave it on for a day or two. but is it good looking in medium? i always hate playing games at HALF settings since its like playing the game at HALF of what it is but i dunno i really want to play this game. whats it like?

Keep antialiasing off! That boosted my FPS a lot. The game isn't worth buying in my opinion, and I'd take HL2 over it any day since it has a real gripping story/characters, whereas this is just a run-of-the-mill FPS. The physics are pretty, though! ;)

CoD4 doesn't need to be on high settings to be fun.

well i know that i played the whole game before but the reason why i wont buy it for the PC is because why pay full price for a game if u cant play it at its best?
