NEWS FLASH!
I've watched my fair share of zombie movies, and played the flash games. I've installed mods and read comic books about zombies. I have zombie posters on my wall and tshirts in my dresser. But my jaw hit the floor when I was passed this bit of info!
Variety reports yesterday, that CBS has some new shows coming up that will have us zombie fans barricading ourselves inside our homes every week.
"Looking to create some buzz, CBS will choose from a pilot slate that includes zombie drama, 'Babylon Fields."'
"On the fantasy/sci-fi side, "Babylon Fields" is an hour Tassler describes as " 'Ordinary People' meets 'Day of the Living Dead.' " In other words, yes, there are zombies -- but the show's also about personal relationships, and what happens when the ex-wife you thought was dead suddenly is back in your life."
I hope they do this right. I liked Day of the Dead, and after reading The Walking Dead graphic novels I did think to myself that a dramatic scifi T.V. series could work with zombies real well. I'll keep my eyes out for more news on the topic.
on an unrelated note of equally cool scifi horrorness: CBS also has a new show called Demons, it's going to be a little like that Keanu movie where he fights demons, except it's a priest and hes black (played by Micheal from Lost, I'd look his name up but if you cared who he was you probably know from that anyway).
until next time!
