Oh hey guys, just joined the forum after a few weeks of lurking.

For my first playthrough of L4D I will play it as normal for the dynamic music but for replays and times where we play it at lan parties (4 people playing it all with dynamic music will make for aggrivation) I want to make a soundtrack, both for Survivor and Infected playings. I was hoping the good people at this forum could suggest music they think would fit well into this.

For survivor I'm looking for more pulse pounding music although I'm not adverse to putting music in that aren't (For instance, I want to put Still Alive from the Portal soundtrack in). Creepy music is also a plus, such as the track Hello Zepp from Saw.

For infected I was looking for a more lighthearted and less dramatic approach. This is because a lot of the infecteds time is spent getting into position and waiting for the right time to strike whereas only moments are spent actually fighting. Creepy, Ambient or Amusing music here. (If I Only Had A Brain from the Wizard of Oz soundtrack, Bloodstone by Amon Tobin, perhaps some of the more active stuff by Enigma.)

Thank you in advance for the suggestions and it is a pleasure to finally be posting here.

Welcome to the forum Batman! :-) I have always been a a fan of the music from Valve and Left 4 Dead is no exception. Never thought of the Infected music though. That should be interesting.

Snap, I searched before making the thread but apparently not well enough.

Care to link me to that thread perhaps with a tad less repetition?

The 28 days/weeks soundtrack really have some good zombie killing tunes.

Also Drowning Pool - Bodies is awesome when killing zombies.

Heh, thanks zawmbie, you reminded me particuarly of one song in the 28 days later soundtrack, I think it's called In A Heartbeat. I'll be sure to include that and give a listen to the rest of the soundtrack.

hooray for zombies

The main theme of 28 days/weeks is done by a band called "Godspeed you! Black Emperor." Any of their work would go well with this game I would think.

Yeah I think the music greatly made the movie for what it is. I have a dream someday of just totally making a kick ass L4D video with the music. There are very few good scenes in the movies and it's when that music comes on. Like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTSShT71pLQ
*Not sure what this song at 1:30 is neither: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiLQmDBQawE Best parts are with the zombies are those songs kick in. Damn that military guy looks so L4D'ish lol! **Man I'm just gonna make my own music video now.

Myspace. Check.
Shameless self advertising. Check.
Massive ego. Check.

All the ingredients to a horrible page filled with bad music, annoying scripts and general annoyance, yes? Wrong.

I'm happy to say my first impressions were mistaken, not only is your myspace a pleasent if minimalistic layout, your music is fairly good especially for your (seemingly) first two tracks. Unfortunatly your music wasn't really what I was looking for but I did enjoy Christmas quite a bit and I've bookmarked your myspace in the hopes you'll do similar or better pieces in the future.

The Half Life Games had beautiful music, Anyone who has watched 28 weeks later will know that film has a really great soundtrack, so hopefully something modern like this....http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=dMyIG2EKPoE

I like good games And i like good music and if L4d does both of that It will be the BEST game of all time.
