Fast or Slow?

What kind of Zombies do you find more chilling,scary, and would rather have if there was a zombie Apocalypse the fast ones or slow ones

The fast ones easily.. they can catch up with you, the slow ones you pretty much know you can get away from.

lol the fast ones r more chilling i mean i run fast but i dont know if i can out run 1 they r fueled by rage and they will do any thing they can to catch my ass when all im running for is the fear of my life and since all of my body is still working normally i might lose my breath faster than they will unless im all filled with adrenaline

and if there really was a apocalypse i'd rather have the slow bastards..

The fast ones.. I think all the slow zombie movies are so corny.. AHH I GOT CAUGHT BY SOMETHING THAT CAN BARELY WALK NOOO!! I think slow zombies might have some magical power to force anyone to trip and get their leg stuck that the zombies are chasing..

I mean, if you're getting chased by a fast zombie then you won't really have time to think, just jnstincts telling you to run. On the other hand I can envision few things creepier than just sitting and knowing that your doom is slowly approaching.

Of course, that's probably just me.

But the bad thing about slow ones is that they make big road blocks, a large group of them and your screwed.

well the thing about fast zombies is they are in your face.. very scary. however, shamblers are also scary. sure you can run, but where? they are everywhere... you can run, but you cant hide.

personally i subscribe to the idea that zombies should start fast and as they decay become slow.

i like both, but the faster ones are scarier i guess.

I would rather have the fast I dont know why but it would seem more of a challenge to me plus your going to have to get used to them anyway since L4D has fast zombies

Fast, Nothings creepier than a raging fast flesh eating zombie. That is if fast zombies eat flesh, or if they just wanna kick your face in, I'd be scared of both.

well for games ect i would like the fast version....there is nothing better than thinking your safe and then the zombie marathon comes around the corner and you wish you were the worlds fastest man....but if there was ever an actual zombieish virus in real life then i would prefer it to be the slow ones i think most people would agree.... just sit somewhere high BOOM HEADSHOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heres your choices.

The Slow shuffling zombies.
1) They are strong enough to rip you in half. if one zombie holds on your feet and another on your hands.
2) Slow reaction time, but once they grab you, their grip is 3x then whne they where human.
3) They feel no pain so if they have hold of you, they won't let go unless they physically can't.
4) There is 1,000,000 of them. They are undead so your only chance is to disable their brain.

The Fast rushing zombies.
1) They have are always on full adrenaline, they never get tired.
2) They have very fast reaction times, but they are enraged.
3) They feel pain so you will flinch when they get hit, and would kill each other in order to kill anyone alive.
4) There is 300,000 of them. They are not completely dead so if their heart or brain stops working they die.

fast are alot better in movies and games

let me tell you something that makes this hard to choose me and friend play this game where (this is not a video game its like tag sort of) the zombie guy (this is playing it fast) gives all the humans 35 secs for them to run and barricade by like pushing a couch in front of door(no locking doors) and i (im usually the "infected" run and chase them down and i have to hold them and put my forehead to them to turn them into one too. and we play this at night because its scary as hell when your human.

but when we play the game slow the humans have 15 seconds before they are "seeked" by the slow zombie who like has to stumble towards them. if you are human you can survive this easily you just have to think hard about what your doing first
there is nothing more scary then running and not thinking and barricading in a room to realize there is only one way in and out and then your screwed untill he gets in there are really cool instinces when they barricade in one room with no way out but the window and when i busted threw i saw one of the humans already half way out the window!(this was on the basement floor) he made it threw and looked back to see that i busted through and had to close the window on his own teamate just to get away in time and the guy trapped inside tried to get out but was trapped in by his own barricade. see you have to think first if there are any exits in the room your in or should we barricade the door or try to hold it so we can try to get out if he comes in but some of these things are also in the fast zombie one

but every time you die in slow zombie version you just think how stupid am i to run to the corner and get trapped or forget to barricade the back entry

that game is so much fun....

Other than that DotD remake and 28 ...s Later are their many other movies with fast zombies?.... So all zombies movies before 2002 'kinda sucked ass'?
Fast UNDEAD zombs that required headshots like in Remake would be incredibly difficult to kill unless you are a Mall Cop with really good aim..... so it made sense that pretty much everyone was dead in the first day.

I like the slow zombies, but they're not scary and exciting in action movie terms. What I liked about the original (Romero) Dead movies is that they were more science fiction than horror, and characters died from mental attrition and bad strategy and not because something leapt out of a dark corner really fast.

What people forget about the Romero movies (which was changed in the remake) is that humans ARE NOT 'infected' by being bit by a zombie, it just slowly kills you. Everyone on Earth is a carrier so ANY dead body with an intact brain reanimates. So it's Not a case of, outbreak at noon - civilization destroyed by supper, but instead the slow dissolution of society.

So, no, slow zombies don't necessarily make for a good FAST PACED shoot em up video game, but they still make for a good story.

Fast is definitely the worst, games, movies, and it would in real life. Just knowing that they are pumped and hell bent on killing you that they run like no other is terrifying. Now slow zombies are scary also, but not as bad or even close to the fast ones. But its frightening to know that the zombies are coming very very slowly to kill you.....
