Hey does anyone know how to turn on the 4th and 5th buttons on your mouse so that when you press it on the internet it doesn't make the page go back or forward. I would really help if you could tell me how to stop this because i use the 4th and 5th buttons to speak to my friends with my microphone. Any suggestions are welcome, even if your not 100% sure.

I think you might be able to change settings somewhere in the logitech settings if you have setpoint installed - otherwise you can try this page here:

5 button mouses? What happened to the good ol' days where people just got a real mouse and tied a string from its tail to the computer?

I have 8 buttons :D

did u not get software with it?
mine came with software to asign the other buttons to what ever i want. and are u on Vista or XP?
coz somtimes the problem can be Vista finds the wrong driver for your mouse.

Haha, I like those buttons.

If you get rickrolled, it's just a simple 4th button click to rectify the issue.

...Rectify is not a bad word.

Well i'm on XP and i got one of those CD's with software on it and i installed it all and everything and even checked the drivers and i can't find anyway to set buttons. Is there anyway to actually change a setting through internet explorer.

I love 5 button mouses...
I couldn't play CSS without it.

Mouse 4 - Reload
Mouse 5 - Secondary Attack/Scope

I have a 5 button mouse, but most of the time they just sit there. I usually bind something stupid like voice activation, weapon buying, or some other pointless thing that makes me more lazy.

I have a mouse with two buttons and a scroll wheel. She's a reliable old bird, but she does have the odd habit of making me look to the sky and spin around really fast.

My brother-in-law's mouse, however, has like 8 buttons, looks like it was forged in the bowls of hell with the souls of the innocent and probably came with a free game.

I'm using a 5-button mouse since last week and I'm really glad I've got those 2 extra buttons meanwhile... ^^ Forward / backward works with the Windows Explorer too, and there is always this one keybind that you would rather have on your mouse instead of the keyboard.

No. His was black and had wings.

Oh and it had a totally different design.

Does your computer suck by any chance?

It does look a bit outdated... (http://www.left4dead411.com/forums/index.php?action=vthread&forum=3&topic=2747) ...but looks can be decieving.
