I have not played the game, but I don't necessarily think GamerKing is correct. The game is supposed to be hard, sure, but having an instant-kill-something-you-can't-get-away-from-bos s is sort of ridiculous. I'm sure that it is possible you can get away, but I'd bet that it certainly won't be easy! Squerl or Frogopus or even Shrubbery might know - they've all played.

I believe she does one quick, insta kill attack and then fast-moderate damage after that. Easiest way to kill her apparently is to grenade+riddle with bullets, this method can kill her without a single casualty.

She moves pretty fast (about as fast as the tank) and in all honesty, at least on normal mode, she is not too tough. When our group encountered her, we just backed up firing, and she was dealt with. However, that being said, if you don't put her down, she will put you down, hard.

Just run, it's way easy to run away from her (especially on chapter of No Mercy) but if there's no way you can avoid her, have the person with the lowest HP attack her first, have said person run and everybody shoot her to hell.Lighting her on fire is also fun (and easy achievment I think?)

The only possibility is to play catch around a car. This will work, because she will have trouble going around, giving your team enough time to kill her.

I was in the sewer pipe with a ladder just at the entrance of the 'raise the gates' crescendo event in DEATH TOLL/SEWERS last night and I accidentally aggro'd a witch who was in the gate room.

I ran out of the pipe and back towards the previous room - the huge and circular one with the 3-story ladder and usually a weapons spawn - expecting the whole time to be 1-shot by her from behind as I ran. Instead, after 10-20 seconds of screaming and sprinting, she gave up and ran away through the sewer pipes of the event room without hitting or otherwise harming anyone on the team. The only real difference between this and other witch encounters I've had was that I was able to break line of sight so quickly once she freaked out. Maybe if she can't see or catch up with you for x seconds, she bails?

Point being that, yes: in certain locations and with certain obstacles in the way (ladders etc), you can run away from a witch.

She started to get pissed and turn around, so I attempted to shut the door... Well, it turned into an epic battle between door and witch... She screamed for about 6-7 seconds before running away from the door... Door won... It was so weird, and sadly I don't have fraps or anything, so no one would believe it.

Heh, that's happened to me too. Best way to get rid of witches if they are in a doorway. Sneak up, close door, scare witch, witch leaves, you live.

Witches are the easiest boss Infected in the game if you have an autoshotty. When there's a Witch I just turn off my light, run right up to her and begin shooting and she's down before she even gets a hit in.
