VALVe have said that after they have finished their 3 episode section of the Half Life universe, they will be making a Half Life 3, which isn't focused on Gordon Freeman, but in a different place in the Half Life universe. Only a trilogy folks.

Where did they say that it'd be based off of a different part of the universe and not on Gordon Freeman? Not that I disagree with you but I'm wondering where exactly that was.

Whoops, didn't mean to put VALVe said it. Read it somewhere on the HL2 Episode 2 Steam Forums. Half life 2 Episode 3 will be made by a 3rd party group methinks. Half Life 3 will be somewhere else. Might focus on the life of Shepherd after Black Mesa :O

That would be awesome if they continue with Shepherd but it will basicly be the same thing with Gordon. They both went to go work with G-Man so it will be HL2 all over again sort of.

MMO stop at Ep3 ending and let the players enter the world and pick sides... Neocron uses the source engine for its MMO and well it could be cool...

that'd be awesome if they continued the Shepard storyline. I really think I enjoyed that game as much if not more than the original Half-Life..but I'm weird I guess..man I kinda want to find my old copy now..

From what I've heard there will be 4 episodes, 1,2,3 are made by valve, and the fourth one is made by a company associated with vALVE.

I met alyxx on half life, she's cool, she just tried to attack me last time............dont know why..........but we became friends, I think trinity wouldve been jealous if she was in.............

no, there will be 3 HL2 episodes, and TurtleRock are making episode4 which will not relate to gordons HL2, it might be a BlueShift2.

and there is no way in hell HL will become an mmo.

Where did you hear about that Deltus?

PCGamer made a run down on all the info valve have released about HL2, and currently ep4 is just speculation on what its about but it is being made by a different producer which i believe was turtlerock.

From what I heard VALVe are just going to let HL4 be made by a different company. Don't think Turtle Rock would be given it, VALVe and Turtle Rock work closely together, so it would be just like giving it to... themselves...
