The trailer for the sequel to 28 Days Later has been released (http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox_atomic/28weekslater/) - it looks amazing. Left 4 Dead seems to share a lot of similarities with the 28 Days Later universe, where a virus spreads and turns people into rabid infected. All fans of survival horror and Left 4 Dead should definitely see this, and if you haven't already go watch the original!

Wow, this is strange i bought the 28 DAYs later movie a few days ago, I have seen it before and i liked it. Even my mother said it wasn't a bad movie.
But the plot seems alot like the RE 2 plot with the whole "KILL THEM ALL" theme, but i guess it's a realistic plan.

Yes! Don't go into it thinking it's going to be a horror movie (you might end up disappointed), it's a drama.

Okey doke, Drama it is then. Im not used to drama much xD But because its the sequel to 28 Weeks Later, then ill watch it. The 3rd installment will be made by Danny Boyle! Woot! This 2nd installment is made by someone else which I cannot be bothered at the moment to name. My mum woke me up... I only got 4 hours of sleep instead of my regular 10...

I never liked 28 Days Later, it wasn't that good. Dawn of the Dead was amazing though, the best zombie movie I've seen and it ties with RE1 (man 2 sucked SO bad..)

I love 28 days later, the first time I was actually introduced to ''Running-Zombies'' ,which blew my mind, and kinda revolutionized my thoughts on the word zombie from dumb slow and scary into Moderatly Intelligent, fast and terrifying!

My friend told me it wasnt the mosta action movie but it was good. Looks like 28 Weeks later makes up for the action.

Also, (SPOILER AHEAD)

Some extra on 28 Weeks later said there will be a 28 months later but will be directed by the guy who first directed 28 days later.

Hmm. so 2 and a half years after a zombie outbreak on a remote island and the subsequent failed (I assume from the trailers) attempt to repopulate.

Possible plot ideas would depend on endings for weeks, which range from light localized bombing to nuking the whole island to the zombies escaping and beginning to take over the world.

A: Another attempt to repopulate.

B: Britain becomes a dead zone a la chernobyl, story follows explorers.

C: Survivors of the worldwide, massive outbreak trying to live in a world taken over by zombies. Sounds a lot like L4D actually.

But it's a little early to speculate, don't you think?

the first time I was actually introduced to ''Running-Zombies''

i always get confused by the term zombie, cause i mean, their infected right, and i always have zombie as a... "their coming for you barbara" moment y'know and not sprinting at ya kinda thing... but i do prefer them running at ya ^_^ more terrifying

Holy crap, someone in the film industry should be shot if the next movie is called 28 months later. Are these movies even THAT good, does it warrant for a trilogy?

28 Days later was better than I expected, 28 Weeks later will be a lot better than I expected, because right now im expecting it to be crap.

YOU must be kidding these movies are amazing I like them more then Romero's movies, and I like the remakes better as well I mean they are good movies and Romero is a good guy but he is flat out crazy I mean if you fell down a ladder and died you were turned into a zombie, in the 28 days later series their blood has to get in you to become infected (not zombies but close to them) but Recommend this movie for anyone who like apocalyptic end of the world movies and horror lovers in general. But if you don't like them thats up to you I cant chose for you my friend

lets face it the 28 days films are probably going to be the best zombie films we'll see, at least it has a plausible idea, resident evil is ridiculous, I'm a big fan of the game series but as a film it doesn't really work. I'll still watch the films but I'm not overly impressed by them. Nemesis was the only good thing about the last film and they even screwed him up by making him switch sides at the end.

And of course the dawn of the dead remake is amazing.

I never liked 28 Days Later, it wasn't that good. Dawn of the Dead was amazing though, the best zombie movie I've seen and it ties with RE1 (man 2 sucked SO bad..)

We obviously have different tastes in zombie movies! I thought that RE (while at least containing good action) was a bad movie.

for me it's more about the tension and hopelessness than action. Great acting helps too! 28 days later delivers on all three for me.

28 days later is my favorite movie period. The fact that the infected are not mindless zombies but more human like makes it so....I dunno, amazing. They are infected with 'rage', and near the end...when Jim goes ballistic....o.m.g. the general theme of human nature made those mansion scenes so great and memorable.

I think about this movie a lot. Zombies > me

However I think its pretty obvious that 28 weeks is going to be a lot mroe action packed than the original, it kinda caters more to your tastes eh? I think its going to be a different movie, but still good.

That trailer is so amazingly awesome....

Though again, to each his own...

Yeah, and the part with everyone fleeing while the snipers tried to pick off the infected was good too. And the CHOPPA!!!! (even though that would probably snap the rotors and cause it to crash)

OFF-TOPIC:
What's with all the extra "BAN"s? are they towards crzy8s for resurrecting, or Asura for downloading? There's nothing wrong with resurrecting an ongoing topic, and Asura intends to buy it on DVD, so there's no loss for the proprietors anyway...

For example: I downloaded it and watched it, then watched it in cinema for better quality, and will be buying it on DVD.
As far as I'm concerned, I've done nothing morally wrong. I may even buy it for some of my friends seeing as a third movie depends on their takings from this one.

It doesn't follow Jim at all, completely new cast/characters, new director, new writers. But it is produced by alex garland (writer of the original) andrew macdonald (producer of original) and danny boyle, ofcourse. Its a good sequel.

This movie definitely had some great themes, obviously some current ones like how far America would go to maintain something they cannot control(Iraq). It was a great movie, but it did not surpass 28 Days Later. I'm definitely not saying it was crappier. 28 Days just had a much much more apocalyptic feel to it, and that scared the shit out of me. One day I'll be making movies like 28 Days Later. Just you guys wait:D Video class and my writing will pay off one day.....I hope....lol

HAHAHAHA I know what you mean. In the first one I didn't mind it that much, I could watch it, but for some reason 28 Weeks was worse and I had to turn my head lol. I think it was cause It was on a giant screen.
