I was really looking for to Assasins Creed, until that chick from Veronica Mars mentioned something about memory alteration, and some other weird more sci fi stuff and the speculation with the video and how it seems to "glitch"... she better be ****ing lying or this game will be thumbs down for me.
Army Of Two I thought looked good also, but so far in the screenshots I've seen recently the game has gone down hill. Just doesn't look graphically amazing as it used to in other footage. Most of it doesn't even have shadows for crying out loud.

Sandman: Riddick was one of my favorite games ever, I think I might have even enjoyed it more than I did Halo single player. The development studio that made it is making some weird game "The Darkness" instead of Riddick 2. They BETTER make Riddick 2 next though..

Battfield: Bad Company is really shaping up, and the NEW footage of Call of Duty 4 looks really good. That first crap they gave us was hideous, looks really nice now.
And how is Halo Wars a complete rip off of a mod? They made a Halo mod for generals? If so im pretty sure the people make Halo Wars are more licensed to it, other than that it will be like 100x better and with more quality.

bioshock looks very good, mainly because its unique... its definitely on my list. Bioshock uses the Unreal 3 engine, thus will have better graphics then gears of war, that is for certain. STALKER had rubbish graphics but was awesome, i expect the same from bioshock, only it will be backed by superior graphical quality and realism.

Gears of War is done on a heavily augmented UE3 engine. You can't say it'll look better because many will disagree, and is in no way fact. Besides the art style is so damn different.
For instance URL (http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/793/793105/img_4609615.html)
This does not impress me whatsoever. For those who HAVE been following BioShock since the early days you'd understand why its level of awesomeness has dropped a bit to what it is now.
I still have no doubt it will be a good game, it employs quite intrigueing technology, dynamic flames, actual water physics... good stuff, not fundamental or groundbreaking but still good stuff.
Crysis however, is just the technology from every game we have now, remastered by German engineering.

GOW used the Unreal3 Engine yes, but as Bioshock is a later release, and has spent far more time bleeding all the engines power then GOW did, it is inevitable that bioshock will have better graphics. Plus, bioshock was intended for PC, the 360 version is a blunted down version because of the limiting factors of RAM etc... GOW pushed the 360 to its limit because you could only have 8 players online (due to limiting factors, any more then that, it would have seriously lagged)... bioshock has a large amount of players going about their daily business just like STALKER, thus for the 360, a lot of eye candy had to go. For one, your basing these opinions on 360*120 res movies? and pictures? from the 360 version!!!??? Thats ridiculous, the only time one could ever say "graphics are not as good would be when you have played the game to its highest settings. GOW was tbh, crap, glitches were everywhere, the background is just shades of brown. The only good thing graphically wise was the cinematic clips which weren't that brilliant either tbh. It was basically the outcome of "Unreal tournament 3", put on low settings. When UT3 comes out, you will see what i mean.
All the 360 fan-boys keep saying "but the 360 hasnt been used to its limits yet" well im pretty sure oblivion did, and look how that turned out, utter dog poo, GOW did, and every other game did. The player limit spells it out. RAM just doesnt exist on the 360, it only has 512mb... and the graphics card attempts to use unified shaders, utter rubbish, the ATi card they used was a cheapo version to cut prices... if it was a better card, the cost would be the same as the PS3. and because its ATI ( i love the cards dont get me wrong) it exhausted more heat then a jet engine, so performance is so incredibly low. If the 360 was kept under 40 degrees instead of 160 degrees, the poor RAM could achieve more, same goes for the graphics card tbh.
World in Conflict isn't all too great, I played in the closed Beta and it really isn't all too special. Gets boring really fast.
May i ask what system you used to run the beta?... you do realize the game will be improved right? and almost all feedback from enemy territory was negative because of the lagg... i mean wtf? the lagg isnt the game, its the crap server fileplanet hired (bit off topic but u know XD)... world in conflict has amazing graphics (that can be said from the game engine they are using and the fact they are incorporating new shader technology and DX10) Is it boring because you dont like RTS being strategic... have you played Supreme Commander? C&C 3? Company of Heros? and Battlestations Midway? which rts do you like best and why. This question is meaningful because i can then determine what genre you actually like, whether your comment is biased or not etc....

Crysis is a pc exclusive and assasin's creed will be on the pc.Crysis however, is just the technology from every game we have now, remastered by German engineering.
No. It has made the environment totally interactive. You can shoot a tree and it will fall on a guys head and kill him. When you shoot tires they burst correctly and jeeps will veer off the road correctly. Tanks will breakthrough houses correctly. You can knock a hole in the wall with your elbow and use it as cover. I don't mean to sound like an add campaign, but to say crysis isn't innovative is just ignorant.

it looked almost done 2 years ago tbh. So i dont know what the hell their playing at... if they dont incorporate the things they were going to cut out, i hold them guilty of not making use of work hours, most likely reason for this : "Partying within inappropriate hours."

One thing that made me extremely angry was to hear of this game "battlefield: bad company" i think thats what its called, it uses exactly the same features as the creytek engine, only its a console exclusive. Only one battlefield game has ever been a console exclusive and it was utter crap, what do they think they are doing?
Also, its basically a complete replica of Crysis, only with an arcade action theme and 16 players max multiplayer. You could relate this game to a christian game which often looked remarkably similar to that of other games, a clone, and the only difference is the name and gameplay. Obviously graphics wont be as good as crysis, but dont you just hate it when people try and take other developers thunder...

I havent played Supreme Commander, I own C&C3 and find it to be a boring tank fest, I also own Company of Heroes and love every bit of it, and haven't played Battlestations Midway. Other then those I have at least played every other major RTS game out. And my genres go: FPS > RTS > RPG > Everything else.

Battlestations midway you would have hated if you dont like World in Conflict...

09 not 07, I know it sucks. :(
Your first link. I'm pretty sure it's the second guess.
"Things aren't working, and it will take a very long time to fix them
When you see a live demo, it's pretty much the same demo everyone sees. It may look like the whole thing is off the cuff, but in reality you're seeing a carefully scripted show. It's possible giant chunks of the game are missing, and the illusion of the title being near completion is mostly smoke and mirrors. With a game this open-ended, it's possible the development team is running into a slew of unforeseen problems. "
That really sounds like vaporware. "Delayed indefinitely" is what happened to 'BC'.
Man, I really wanted 'BC' and now Spore. This sucks.

Resident Evil 4 Wii edition
Tomb Raider: Anniversary

Unreal Tournament and Quake have been rivals for a while, let's see which one is better this time. UT has one every time so far.
UT vs Quake 3 = UT
UT 2004 vs Quake 4 = UT
UT3 vs ET:Quake Wars = probably UT
I'm glad UT is better since it is the only game to have classic old school gameplay instead of realistic. Big guns are better than realistic ones.

Yeah, I said that... Technology already featured in games, redone to a higher level. NOTHING NEW. And don't get me on Crysis' physics. That Tank simulation was CRAP, a tank running over a brick house wont cause the bricks to fly 20 feet in the air... especially at 10mph. I can admit Crysis has great cinematic phyics, just like Ep2 but on a grander scale, it is NOTHING new. Tree's have been cut down before, may not be a big feature in games thats old technology. Games like the new Indiana Jones and the new Star Wars game features engines like Euphoria, and DMM (A true next gen physics engine) Now THAT is INNOVATION.
And interactive environment? Hardly... look at games like Battlefield BAD COMPANY. That has tree's falling, and buildings being destroyed. And that new game that LucasArts is sponsoring with complete geometric physics. C'mon? How can you say Crysis is innovative with those games coming out. And to say BC is like Crysis in terms of their physics. Bad company actually can DESTROY buildings. Crysis just takes them apart, the bricks wont crumble, and the metal wont bend... but BC actually tear chunks away from it. They're hardly clones of eachother.
Crysis looks like a great game, I gave it credit for that. But don't go out acting like there aren't better and actually innovative games out there.
Ark, I guess you got me with the BioShock vs. Gears, but i will still think Gears looks better, and a lot of people will.
UT vs Quake 3 = UT
UT 2004 vs Quake 4 = UT
UT3 vs ET:Quake Wars = probably UT
UT3 isn't out yet, and QW is not a big project like UT3, featuring a new engine... Quake wars isn't even technically Quake in most senses. other than that QW is done on Doom 3 engine right?
Also... I want World in Conflict... looks really good, a break away from C&C is good. And SC2 following. I have a thing for modern anything, thats why i loved battlefield 2 so much. It was a break AWAY from games with unrealistic and big guns, (timesplitters and ut 04) in my day.
Edit: Also how is Quake Wars WITHOUT the lag and stuff. Im thinking of getting it for my new computer, but I cant play the beta because im not a subscriber (public beta my ass)

The fascination is probably from the fact that you can create your own creatures, interact with other creatures you have made, and have access to a massive server with everyone elses creations. O yer, and its meant to take 60 years to complete..
Also, because of the 2009 release date, i would have thought they are going to reinclude the "flying creatures" and massive "under-sea" creatures.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the graphics. I LOVE the source engine. We don't need some fancy U3 engine to make a game good(And the sad thing is, a lot of computers won't handle the true potential of the U3 engine or an even better one). Source may be slightly outdated but it's quite easy to use get around with.

sure you dont need a U3 engine to make a game good, but it does help XD
This is why bioshock is going to be so dam awsome, and unreal tournament 3, just because the engine has the power to do godly things in the gaming world, like the new physics capabilities, awsome. The new Star Wars: forces unleashed looks good too.

Quake wars 3... I think you mean Quake 3. Anyway, YOU CAN COMBINE MODS IN UNREAL TOURNAMENT. If that's not reason enough, nothing is. Just think, you can use any weapons from any mods you've downloaded, you can spawn in monsters, you can use Weapon Swapper to put in any weapons from any mods you have. You can even level up rpg style. Also, you can activate every single one of these mods at the same time! Quake 3 is still restricted to changing to a separate game for a mod to work, and you can't combine them.
Quake 4 had a better storyline of course, but UT2004 had no real storyline at all, it's a multiplayer only game. I say UT2004 won because it's awesome over and over, but I have to give Quake 4 credit for some cool cinematic sequences (when you turn into a strogg)

Quake 3 is still restricted to changing to a separate game for a mod to work, and you can't combine them.
ya sorry i meant quake 3 arena, anyway, your now going into modifications, not the default game at all, so its hardly fair to compare the solid quake 3 arena game to a highly modded unreal tournament. Compare them at default or not at all. But the mods are fun though XD
Quake 4 had a better storyline of course, but UT2004 had no real storyline at all, it's a multiplayer only game. I say UT2004 won because it's awesome over and over, but I have to give Quake 4 credit for some cool cinematic sequences (when you turn into a strogg)
UT2004 isnt multiplayer only, its just got a crappy singleplayer which is virtually unbeatable when you go on the hardest difficulty. The bots sort of jump off walls and get you right in the face with a rocket launcher from the other side of the map... "WTF>?" but the multiplayer aspect is awsome, but i can get a little tired of it. In my opinion the graphics on quake 4 are just that little bit better, but its hard to say. Their both extremely arcadey and have very fast paced action, i dont actually have a preference because i have both and play them, just not as often as i used to.

Shameless bump, just wondering if anyones opinions have changed since E3 or whatever. I think TGS is going on right now.
Assassins Creed definately higher up on my list now.
Spore is like playing out your version of the evolution of life and the domination of the empires that said life creates. THAT is the deal with spore. And people that bitch about graphics shouldn't play L4D then because, without a doubt, the graphics won't be that much better than HL2's. /rant
Had to bring this up... Spore's graphics are kiddy graphics, L4D graphics might be dated but atleast they're believable. I'm no scientist but I can almost guarantee, with my balls on the line that under the same circumstances, in real life would an animal never grow eyes bigger than its head. The concept of watching evolution is fun, when its believable. Not so much believable but, decent... And doesn't turn out to be another "Unbelievable Creatures," good game by the way.
And then there's that whole thing about riding around in a classic saucer space ship, blowing up planets only 4x the size of it effectively making your character hundreds of feet tall. Im sort of glad Spore got delayed... I never saw it as release worthy, watching footage of that game the most common line by the developer was, "That'll be fixed by retail," or, "that'll be improved soon," when speaking about the environment and how plain it was.
But they're long delays, so it better be one hell of a game when it comes out. And whats this about taking out the water stage... Honestly what I was looking forward to the most.

I'm indisposed towards Spore, I'm not foaming at the mouth to get it but it does look like an interesting concept (definitely getting assassin's creed though, no matter what weird ass future storyline they work into the game)

-Warhammer Online
Game looks good, but the worst thing to do after recently buying an MMO (LoTRO) is looking at more MMO's...
Aion looks pretty good too, plus NCsoft has a good track record as far as im concerned.

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames
I absolutely loved the first one, the best sandbox type game. For men anyway.

I never really get hyped about games. I just play the ones that are already out. This (and the mod Killing Floor) are the only games I've been bothered to care about before their release. Why? I guess I just don't care about games that much, and the games I play right now satisfy my needs to waste time as fast as possible.

- Crysis
- Fable 2
- Orange Box
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl (HELL YES!)
- UT3
- Spore
- Assassin's Creed
Not really too excited about GTA4.. I enjoy the games, but since GTA3, none have really brought anything new. And, I've got a feeling they will mess this one up. I am ready for FIFA 08 also, as I just found out recently that I freaking love those games, more than any other sports game lol.
RE5 will be cool, but I really wish they would go back to the good ol' Raccoon City locales, and back to normal-ish zombies. I mean, the entire RE series is based on the release of the T-Virus. Now, the T-Virus and Umbrella seem like nothing special, since there are the Ganados or w/e the hell they were, as well as the new things in RE5.

RE5 is supposed to continue the original story line, and not be some spin-off like RE4. I don't think Las Plagas or the Ganadas or that giant fish will be in it. Although I quite liked the giant fish.
