Virus is better. The plagas make them look like those vampire things from Blade 2...

Honestly, I hated the RE4 "lets use bugs instead of the T-Virus" thing. I absolutely loved the T-Virus, and all the other Umbrella viruses. It was what made Umbrella the bad guys... now, it's seemingly gone.

Please, take your bugs away from my Resident Evil, and give me my undead back.

The thought of sentient parasites infesting you and controlling your actions is infinitely creepier than a random virus flying around, "ooooOOoOoOoO, oh no, here come the GERMS!"

But it's not Resident Evil. Sure, put it in another game, but I prefer my Resident Evil.

I find the whole "Umbrella created the viruses" thing much more enjoyable. Resident Evil pretty much stopped being scary when #4 came out... Action took over, and I was forced to say goodbye to the memorable moments in the RPD, such as the zombies grabbing me through the windows, or the Tyrant thing busting into a room. I miss the Umbrella conspiracy, the motives of William Birkin and Albert Wesker, etc. The Umbrella universe hooked me. But crazy-ass Spanish farmers controlled by a bug, led by a midget dressed like a ship captain and a pope that wears a purple robe? Nah. The game was good, but I hated what they did to Resident Evil...

Its a hard choice, i like them both very much. But i like the parasites just a little more because there harder to fight and more exciting.

Besides, a virus is little more than a smaller, questionably alive parasite anyways. And, regarding Umbrella (which I admittably know little about,) what's to say they didn't have a part in this parasite thing. Looks like their handywork to me.

You bring up an interesting point. remember from RE4 that krauser mentioned Umbrella. It is very possible that they could have helped resurect the parasite.

Honestly, I've never really liked RE.

RE4 looks like a fun game, but RE's sci-fi is ludicrous.

I mean, it reanimates decomposed corpses 6 feet underground?

It lets them survive headshots???

If I remember right, Umbrella just wanted to obtain a sample of it, and were going to pay a lot for it. They didn't create it.

If you are referring to the movie, that is not true Resident Evil... If you're talking about the games, then I don't know which one that's in. But one thing about the virus is that it can infect not only people, but insects, animals, and plants as well.
