I just watched the trailer and it is simply a remake of the movie (REC) which is much better. REC though is not very known since it's a spanish movie but if you have to watch one of those, go for Rec.

Yeah.... It is just an exact remake... I guess people can't be arsed with subtitles :P
That part of the film (Girl getting pulled away) was pretty... Well rubbish...
And MY GOD the last half hour of [REC] was intense. I was left with my mouth open in awe when it finished :D

Wow... Just watched the trailer now... Looks like a terrible remake. Doesn't do the original justice at all.
To be fair, when I heard Hollywood had bought the rights to remake [REC], I knew it would end badly :(
