You cannot remove Friendly fire...its been said several time. I know what you mean but if you could take it off the game would become way to easy.

Picture this...you friend is being swarmed by zombies >.> so instead of firing at the zombies to help your buddy you can just take a pipe bomb and toss it at him to clear them all out without killing him O.O also alot of the areas your fighting "in certain maps" are narrow so your back 2 back with your friends...so instead of watching your shots you can spray everything and everywhere without the fear of killing a friend.

so "NO" you cannot remove friendly fire

Togglable
phail.

But yes, the game would be WAY too easy if FF was able to be toggled.

I hope that they don't let you turn it off. There are counter-measures in place to get rid of the dudes who shoot you in the back.. so I'm not too worried.

If you friendly fire or TK too much.
You should be vote-kicked out.
Your record of how many times you get kicked out will be logged in your alias. So next server you join, people will see how much of an ass you are.

Won't you be able to easily remove it on the PC version through console commands? You can turn on TF2's friendly fire even though it's not intended to be here.

Actually, from what I recall reading.. nope. It's hard-coded into the game last I heard. Though, maybe I did read wrong..

What do you mean by "hard-coded"? Mind giving an example of something that's hard-coded into a game like TF2 or HL2?

As in, something that is not a variable that you can change.

Gravity. You may be able to adjust the amount, even add a multiply by 0 so it doesn't do anything but its always there.

a troggle is a baddie from number munchers............oh, toggle.

yeah, when the feces hit the fan and there are tons of zombies all over the place including the area between you and your team, ff adds another layer of panic inducing goodness. thats what zombie survival games are about, freaking out and going down in a hail of gunfire, right?

As has already been stated, friendly fire will always be on, the devs want it this way.

What do you mean by "hard-coded"? Mind giving an example of something that's hard-coded into a game like TF2 or HL2?

In order to enforce restrictions, some variables are hard-coded so that you cannot validate your client if their values are changed. IE, lets say there was a variable for god mode; if this was set to enabled, you wouldn't be able to join any "pure" servers for your game.

i wouldnt doubt that some 1 is gunna make a mod to turn off a couple things, one being ff, but otherwise the game is said to have ff always on
